Atlantis Warrior Mask, part 1

I like to create decorative masks and have had many requests to make videos of my process, I've been a little hesitant as a mask can take a long time to create.
In 2024 I intend doing longer video projects which will cover different skills so I thought it was time to try doing a set of videos on one project to see how it would be received by my followers.
So let's give this mask some bone structure.

I love making masks! They're such a versatile substrate. Something I was told as an art student and have passed on to my students...hold your piece up to a mirror. You'll be surprised by what the different perspective reveals.

Oh I love watching you create. I just ordered paper clay and it's been quite cold here. So it felt like the clay froze a little. But I enjoy playing with clay. I can't wait to watch all your process.

Very cool and utterly fascinating! I have a few bricks of air dry clay - might give something like this a go! I've made a few high relief wildlife wall panels from paper mache clay (I just call it toilet paper clay, lol), I might give that a whirl. I'm heading on to part 2...

Ceri, this is so much fun watching you work your magical talent with this mask. Glad you are doing this live for us. Yes live, your alive, and doing this live in your studio, so it’s live for me. lol anyway your amazing. I’ve done masks in the past but, you take this to a different level, love it. I’m going to have to give it a try and maybe even do a mask that Angelia used in her movie. The horns will be. Little tricky and time consuming. But that’s what art is right. Can’t wait to see all the steps you do to finish this beauty .
