Ha! Great stuff - I love the enthusiasm you've got for this! I watched this video after your Bovington museum vid and I can see that you'll have hours of fun doing the detailing and weathering. It sounds great and looks the part already. I actually can't believe how cheap it was - maybe I now know why people baulk at Traxxas prices😄 I can\t pretend I'm into mititaria, and my tank knowledge is restricted to identifying a Sherman, but this is really cool.

Yeah I'm really happy with the tank. The full metal versions are about £250-300, so a little more expensive but probably worth paying the extra. For £142 I think this Heng Long is awesome though, you're getting a lot for your money.

If they're happy to spend more I'd suggest getting the Pro version which has all the metal upgrades. 👍

Be forewarned, I bought a Tiger 1, and then I bought a Panzer IV, and then a Sherman, and then a Panzer III. They are habit forming.

They are full of smiles for sure. I have had a blast driving mine around. I get so caught up in the sounds and and watching the road wheels working up and down as it rolls over stuff! Congrats on getting one and I am sure it won't be the only one!

@@DoURC I have the Walker Bulldog and the M25 Pershing. Both are great looking ones and they are a blast. If you get another pay a little more and get the professional version with the metal tracks. It sounds even more realistic with the extra squeaks from them! It also gives it a bit more weight so it looks a little better when rolling over things too! It definitely needs a companion!!

I bought one like this 18 years ago! Same size in camo and it shoots BBs. I had a great time with it. And dad just Cleaned out the garage and found it in the back, Now we just Need to find the charger !!

Well produced review! Great photography too. Very convincing too. So convincing I have placed an order for one myself, only I've gotten an upgraded version with metal tracks and gearbox as I live in the country ( Oregon U.S.S.) and intend to do more "offroad" driving rather than terrorising the kitties indoor. Again a very well done review ... can't wait to get mine delivered. Thanks mate!!

This version seems to have a much updated sound file ! The heng long tanks are notorious for not being that good? With things going wrong frequently? But I'm sure this later version is much improved?
This is the v7. I haven't had any issues with it, still works, even after mud running it! 🤣😁
If you're going to get one, it's worth getting the metal upgrade version. 👍

@davidherbaugh3626 Yeah nimh don't last long. A lipo would be better, can't remember if stock esc supports one, I'd think so.

In your video i dont see the front machine gun barrel mounted, wich i do see in some other video's.. i just got my tiger and i dont think it came with the barrel, at least i can find it in the box.. now i'm wondering if i can contact them somehow to get one of those barrels..
@1985EganPeter Yeah I forgot to stick it on in the review video. Pretty sure it was in one of the bags that came in the box, possibly with the driver, but it's a while since I got it. Be worth asking them, or check on something like Aliexpress for spares. 👍

How did you get yours to work properly, my controller doesn't work or only works for a few seconds. 😢
Mine worked fine out the box. Is yours the v7 or an older model? You could try rebinding the transmitter?
@@DoURC generation 7.0.
I tried resoddering the power supply and finally got it to turn on, but now the transmitter beeps constantly and I have spotty control over the tank. At best I get a few seconds of solid control before it unbinds and the tank no longer responds to inputs.
Is it steel?
No just plastic, you can buy an upgraded steel version though. 👍
