Ronnie Wood so mediocre at guitar playing. Not even on his birthday he can play a good solo
They wanted RORY GALLAGHER, MIKE BLOOMFIELD, FRANK WHITE OR ROY BUCHANAN after Mick Taylor.... maybe STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN would have been the right one?
He's just getting on. His work with the Faces and the Stones for years and years was some pretty tasty guitar playing. Not a technical player, but he definitely added to the songs. Love the blend of rhythms and leads between him and Richards on the Some Girls album especially. And he also added some great licks and solos on pedal steel over the years, which isn't an easy instrument. And Wood has played on an astounding number of projects with other artists.
