If the drain pipe came of in a previous race then there is no excuse for it to happen again. They knew it was a real possibility, they were negligent, and Carlos suffered from it.

Max was faster on the hards. He closed up on them up front at a rate of knots. Cruised past, and pulled away comfortably. This was before the deg really hit Leclerc. So no, they wouldn't have won on pure pace, because Max had more pace on the hards. Ferrari was better on the mediums, which was discussed by the drivers after the race.

Nah Leclerc wouldn’t have won. When the SC came out he was more than 10 seconds behind Perez and Verstappen was catching up. And yes he pitted before the SC but kind reminder Max also had a penalty that evened things out. The bar for Leclerc is literally the floor
It is a cash grab. It isn’t a good circuit. It’s got big straights which produces lots of overtakes. They could’ve built something great. COTA has produced killer racing for years. Another trash street circuit? Nah
