I know It may not be very easy to teach an adult parrot or grown parrot not to bite you but Let me tell you,it's not immpossible to teach them. You can use some props to help you to train your parrot in this regards. It's very important to realize them not to bite as soon as possible.
This video explains how to take care and train your grown parrot not to bite you.
If it's your baby parrot then technique is so simple. When your parrot(s) try to bite you, hold your finger in their beak and twist or turn it.By this way,Parrot will loose their balance/control and nearly get fall of.If you repeat this again and again, after a while they will understand that biting your finger is not good for them.

I’m considering adopting an Indian ring neck from a local bird sanctuary. When I met this particular bird, it seemed a lot like it was teething on my fingers, constantly like “biting” me but with next to no pressure at all. I didn’t know until researching about them that they’re capable of making people bleed, good to know just in case. This was a good video to learn about the biting as I was looking it up just now

My IRN Bowie was an 8 yr old blue female who had never been socialized, handled or allowed to fly. She I got her, she was in a 15x18" cage, which was way too small. I got her a bigger wrought iron cage that she loved. She bit quite hard, but I had quickly discovered she would do almost anything for blueberries. So, to save my finger, I would put my finger on a cage bar, or just far enough where she could touch my finger but not clamp down. When she tried but did not succeed, I would say GOOD KISS and give her a blueberry. Since she took the blueberry gently, I knew she had it in her to be gentle. If I put my finger against the bar and she tried to bite but the bar prevented a full bite, I would say NO BITING, ONLY KISSES, then ask for a kiss. The next bite was always less forceful and soon was always a kiss, varying in gentleness, but never breaking skin or bruising. She was coming along so nicely, but a series of misfortunes took her away and she died. Just hearing the coo cooing of yours brought tears to my eyes.

I just adopted a rescue Amazon parrot. He is 36 years old and was kept in a locked cage without toys. He was very afraid of hands. I visited him at the rescue for several weeks. I sat on a chair fir several hours each day with his cage door open. I offered various treats until he would take them from my hands. Then I put a hand in between him and the treat so he would step on it to get to the treat. This took many days. Then I brought a carrier and got him used to it sitting there. I bought all of the perches and toys in his cage at the rescue to place them in the same spots in my cage at home. Then I took him home. It is important to let a new bird decide to come to you. If you do it this gentle way you will avoid bites. He has never bitten me because I respect his boundaries.

I have a new 8 year old ringneck. She bites me but less hard every day. I also have a 3 yr old Green Cheek Conure that I got because the previous owner was terrified of. He took chunks out of me initially. I teach my parrots not to bite by saying "no bites, only kisses". If they are in the cage, I put my finger on the bar so that if they try to bite hard, they can't because the bar prevents it. When they try and cannot, I say happily "good kiss!" And reward them. With the longer beaks of the IRN, or other birds, use the bar and a bit of distance. It's also important to find a treat that will really make them happy. With my Bowie, it's blueberries. I talk to her softly every day, several times a day, in her cage and set her up for success with distance and the bar. When she is out, I approach her but keep my hands down at first, and slowly brought them up. Now, on the top of the cage, she will come down from the high perch and come face to face with me and gently take the blueberry. She sings contentedly in her cage or on it. Here she has toys, other birds she is starting to be nice to, a dog and a cat that line birds, tons of toys and stuff to chew, plus swings and ladders and bells. She was in a cage that was nice but 18"x18", which is way too small. She is in a 24x22 now but will be getting a 30 or 32" cage when money allows. I can tell she wants to be a nice bird. She just has some bad memories to work through.

I don't know how much old he is, but it's been 2 weeks and it seems like he still does not recognize us. He used to bite my finger but it doesn't have enough power to make a cut. Should I take him out of the cage (in a closed room) to train or do that in cage only?

If you feel like it's less than 6 months old then I would suggest you to feed him by yourself. train him not to bite as this could be right age when you can train. you can take him inside house or room and train. Open area is much better and comfortable to him then close cage.

My Cockatiel has turned into an attack bird over night. He used to flock call me every morning, any time he wanted out of his cage to be with me. He enjoys being petted on his head, has his eyes closed very relaxed. Then turns around and bites me. Then walks up and bites my face.
Could it be he is going through the bluffing stage? As in going in to puberty? He is doing other things like walking low to the grown with slightly out.
I have had him since he was a baby. He has always been good about stepping up etc.

He is only seven months old, they clipped his wings and used black gloves to handle him. I've thrown them away, he is learning now that my hands are kind and when I do anything it is associated with fresh fruit and vegetables he doesn't squawk or hiss at my hands now. That has taken two weeks, please could you tell me a good technique to get him to step onto my hand that will not stress him, something I can do slowly, as I do not want to loose his trust.

No colour can't affect their living.
Both can live together but because both are same gender, it may be(in very few chances ) possible that they will fight for territory but usually in most cases they will live happily together like Mittu and Charlie.
Buy different color would be great.

I have a 15 year old african grey - Yakob - who is very active, noisy and cuddly. She started laying eggs, so 6 months ago I got a younger male, Coco. So far they have not mated. He is frustrated because she bullies him and sometimes knocks him off his perch. She can fly very well but he can't (his previous owner cut his feathers really badly and they are not re-growing properly). They are in a garden aviary during the day but I bring them inside at night (they love being outside). If I put my hand too near Coco he bites, but he lets me carry him around on a perch.
So far I have not rushed to train him to stop biting, step up, etc. Should I try to train him or wait until he and Yakob are better friends?

Hope you would be doing it.
Also try to train him and teach discipline by some word commands. Also try to train him with treats. Feed only if he obeys your command otherwise don't give him that treat.

Aloha I have a female Indian ringneck she’s a year few & a few months old! I’ve been training her I got her when she was a few months old. However she still bites. She gets extremely territorial over one of her perches! If I get too close to this perch she will literally fly off the perch and attack me. How do I stop her from doing that? I do train her daily I spend time with her all the time she has her own room she’s got a ginormous cage in her own room
 Advice please

I adopt a 1 year old female ringneck, she is really aggressive, she will take food from your hand, but if you dont have food and trying to apporach her, she will bite, really hard. if you are trying to make her step on your hand even with food, she will also bite you really hard, and she is smart, if you wear any hand gloves, she will ignore the food, does nothing. if you bare hand, she bites you, only calm when you give food straight away. She is not shy that means she will just walk out of the cage if you leave the cage open, just every time when you trying to approch, she is so aggressive. Need some tips to change this situation

      Any age..
But get them home when they are less than 3 months old so they will get used to with your house environment and grow up there so would be easy to tame.

As soon as they start eating seeds, you can move them to cage.
Usually they can be able walk properly which means they can be alright in cage.

It may take few days to get your parrot familiar with you.
Once he started getting comfortable atound you and start trusting you, he will learn whatever you teach him.
      But keep trying.

Hi there, I need all the help I can get. Adopted a mature male Indian ringneck two days ago. His owner's passed away and was being given away.
He doesn't know me obviously and showing signs of aggression and tries to bite.
I pull back but try to not show him I am afraid of him.
How do I gain his trust? He rarely wants to take food from my hand.
    Please help me. đŸ˜«

Mature male Indian ringnecks are difficult to tame. I had one recently and he is the same. But I successfully trained him not to bite and follow my commands like go back to cage and come on inside the house etc. But he doesn't like to come to my shoulder or finger and neither he wants anything to be fed. You may need to spend more time with him. Yell out when e tries to bite. Show some aggression if he bites you. Slowly he may get familiar with you and will start following your commands.

For finger, you have to give them command and raise your voice to stop them when they do that but let them bite thewood as they love to chew the wood.

You have to train them. They may bite you on first two to five times but don't pull off your fingers. Just get angry on them when they try to bite. And command them not to bite.
