Thanks! I just started a culture of these. I'm rushing off to buy some rotten wood after watching this. Looks like I'll need to start making flake soil regularly again.
Thanks for this! I started with 6 Helleria about 18 months ago and I'm only up to 15 now (at least that is what I counted a couple of months ago). I recently purchased a few more and got some similar advice from that seller, "Treat em like millipedes!". Well, since I have never kept millipedes, I kinda had to ferret out what he was saying to me. I think I have it now, thanks in part to this video. I absolutely lovely these pods; can't wait to make some more!🥰
I’m thinking of buying some form invertebrate dude soon! My room is around 60-65f at night during winter so I just won’t heat them like I do with my other pets. Love how large they are!
oh wow this is incredible! Im new to the hobby and I didnt know there were more then 4 geniuses of terrestrial isopods! is there any chance you will make a video going over all the deferent types of geniuses? id really like to see that!
Happy to have been able to participate in this video, hopefully people will find it helpful!

sounds like a pretty fascinating species and I can see why it is included in the hobby. Thank you, Rus and Invertebrate Dude.
