In his down pose (if you look closely) You can see black or red going down his cheek, which might be why tails is freaking out and wants help because he knows that's not sonic. Sonic on the other hand is like "What's wrong Tails? It's me you're buddy." Tails still screams and Sonic is like, "What is this commotion about, and why is my head aching so bad?"
After that part he starts to lose control of himself and starts to go insane which explains the psychotic laughter, and then says "WHY YOU LITTLE!" and it becomes pixelated. After that, Xenophanes starts to show himself a little and scares Tails, and therefore Tails goes insane not only because his real friend is missing but because he has also been dealing with secret histories (crazy) Tails and eventually that tails takes his place, after that fatal error appears sensing a virus and at the end song Xenophanes reveals his identity and probably killed Tails... Maybe.

Tails at the beginning reminds me of wooly from Amanda the adventurer, especially in his note on the left where he seems to break the fourth wall.

AMAZING COVER! though i have one question, why does the first tails have an eyelash, design can comepletely change the character through viewers pov, the sprites for him are great though the eyelash is a bit questionable for the artist... as tails is male... but hey (I pay too much attention to design so who cares about tails having a single eyelash on each eye) THIS IS AN AMAZING COVER, i can barely remix a song unless its an 8-bit remix
