  • Norfolk Uncovered is a series of short documentaries about the less-known and less-obvious relics and ruins of the county of Norfolk, in the United Kingdom.
This episode features the site of a former Radar station on the North Norfolk coast.
Now hidden among the gorse, the remains of RAF Bard Hill are almost unrecognisable.
We meet RAF veteran Ken Melbourne, who was based here in 1947.
After almost 70 years, he has come back to revisit his old haunt.
    Narrated By: Mike Richmond.
Norfolk Uncovered is filmed on a very small budget, and we make do with the equipment available, so please enjoy and make the most of what you see... Some of the featured sites may not be here in the future...

I had my first explore there about a year ago, now I know the story behind what I saw...thank you, and lovely to see someone who served there involved.

Interesting look back into a part of our aviation defences during those dark days when Britain stood alone against a possible Invasion of our shores.

Hey guys. Fantastic videos. Very interesting and makes me wana explore more areas around norfolk. Some ideas for future docs could be raf Sculthorpe. Very well preserved. Ive explored all of the building but would be great if you can get some history about the place. Also the old train line between kings lynn and hunstanton. Along the old track there's the old signal boxes and some of the stations have been preserved.
Just some ideas. Keep up with the great work. Need more people out there taking some interested in history

Louis, Thanks for your comment. We did cover RAF Sculthorpe about 3 years ago (the video is awful compared to the more recent episodes) but this may be on the cards in the future. Regarding old railway lines, have you seen our videos about the former railway lines around Cromer and the former M&GN line from Norwich City Station - Melton Constable?
