El Nido is such a beautiful place. Tour A was amazing and suprisely had a good night life with dancing and some very nice bars. I will be back one day for Tour C :)
Definitely agree! We were just there and water is so contaminated and in order to get on the tours, we had to get in there. I didn’t know much about the place till after we got there. Not worth risking your health just to go island hopping and adventures.
I have just been traveled to El Nido on October 2023, this is the most beautiful place, ocean, sea life of Philippines and I also enjoyed the best Flilipino food in El Nido town too, it’s an unforgettable place in my memories

El Nido town does not have a good beach. The town do not have proper sewage and waste water treatment so most wind up near the beach. For swimming and snorkeling best to go to nearby islands. This is the reason the island hopping tours are popular. We stayed in one of the nearby island resorts and it was well worth the cost. You need to go to Nacpan Beach out of town to see the long beach and enjoy swimming, kayaking and snorkeling.
El Nido is hard to get to. Supplies come from PPC some 5 hours drive away so cost of logistics gets into cost of goods. El Nido was a small fishing town, spun off from mother town Taytay. Heavy influx of foreign tourists has been responsible for its sudden popularity that caught LGU and locals and expats flatfooted but who are now all contributing to improve El Nido. Welcome to EN and enjoy it but you must bear its cost-price structure.
Those boats at the bay make El Nido ugly. It looks like a Fishing Village. You can't even see the horizon. Rediculously Ugly scenery. The Mayor of than town should have those boats dock near the mountain not in front.

Hindi na magandang tingnan dahil ang beach nasakop na ng mga building at yung tubigan na dating masayang pagtampisawan , paliguan at languyan ay naging tam ayan ng mga iba’tibang uri ng mga bangka ng may palawan, Malala pa sa NANGYARI noon sa ,Boracay, palagay ko.
At saka Hindi na mainam mamasyal sa town proper mismo, ang daming estorbo, mga nakahambalang na motorcycle at tricycle, sa karsada at maging sa mga bangketa, mga nagkalat na ASO sa karsada, sa nakita ko video na to, never na bibisita ko diyan sa El Nido,,,,watching from california !
That’s the very reason President Duterte ordered to close Boracay, to rehabilitate and remove establishments that were too close to the shore. Hope, it will be done the same in El Nido.
If Palawan LGU is not careful, there is a big possibility that they will become like the Boracay of old and they should realize that there's no longer a Duterte to help them.
El Nido’s needs rehabilitation like that of Boracay. Tourism has abused it that nature couldn’t keep up. Coron is better but hopefully it won’t have the same fate soon.
There are many problems in El Nido nowadays, first the high risk of food poisoning, many of the resturants have very bad hygiene so you get sick all the time, second the sound pollution scooters and lorries all over the place 24/7 third Scammers alway try to sell you something, from overpirced or fake pearls, to taxi and touroperators overpricing trips. El Nido is the gateway to paradise, Philipnne authority need to step up and clean upp the place +dont get fooled by sponsored influencers showning off a prestine calm destination, it´s overcrowded and out of control.

The buildings are built so close to the shore. You don't see it like this in Thailand or Vietnam.
