    Great video man, I have a question. What mods do you suggest for this bike to make it perform better? I'm interested in buying one but they're pretty slow. Thanks

      Hi brou, thank you!
      The TW series engines (125/200/225) are practically the same, that is, you can exchange the parts between them. TW-Parts has kits to fit the displacement you want!

    What kind of parts did you use to upgrade the bike? I recently bought a TW125 and would like to get a bit more speed out of it without going up in displacement (140cc or 200cc kits)

    • @luisvieites158
      @luisvieites158  Před 3 lety +3

      For now, i haven't done any upgrade on my TW yet, but what you're asking me is if you can increase the power of the bike without changing the displacement, correct?

      @@luisvieites158 just for it to actually reach 100 ~ its hard to find any info on the carburetor and to find replacement jets if neccessary, would you think it will be a good idea to get a replacement 26 or 28 mm carburetor from brands where I can actually get jet kits for? I don’t know if the 125cc has the same carburetor as the 200cc TW’s if that would be so I might be able to get a bit more juice out of the bike with a bigger jet and some proper fine tuning of the carburetor, it wont go 140kph ever but a bit more power would be nice
      Thanks,

    • @luisvieites158
      @luisvieites158  Před 3 lety +1

      @@ThomasHermans007 If you really want to get the bike to accelerate more, you will probably have to increase the engine capacity to have something more reliable. If you don't want to change the engine size you can always make changes to the motorcycle's carburetor, and maybe change the original air filter to a performance air filter. A smaller rack increases its final speed, but you lose strength.
      What I would do in your case would be to use a kit to increase the engine capacity to 200cc (you have that in the "TW-parts") and with that you would be able to reach more speed, and just the fact that you have a smaller rack already will give you another performance!

      @@luisvieites158 I understand what you mean, was thinking of playing around with the gearing and the carburetor settings, I’m also going to do a full service on it (checking the valves etc etc) but I won’t change the capacity for now just because I’m on a a1 license and everything over 125cc would be “illegal” and yes its not like anyone would notice but I’m not trying to take any risks,
      Kind regards ;)

      The TW 125 was also my first bike, and yes it is a good bike to start, because you can ride on the road and on the hill without any problems! It is not a high speed or acceleration bike, but it is enough for a 125.

      for trips it is complicated, but also going to the motorway with a 125 can become dangerous, some cars do not respect and overtake close to us... for trips on national roads you do well if you go between average speeds of 80 km/h, because from then on for many km it is no longer healthy for the engine!
