  • In this video, I show the steps I took in order to create a mossy mountain inside of a simple glass jar. This is probably my favorite build to date; so I hope you all really enjoy.

looks really nice; the moss added so much more than I initially thought it would lmao

Thanks! Yeahhh I had some doubts at first tbh, but the moss always ties ‘em together nicely

I love that you used mud instead of the usual foam or silicone people use. Have you had any issues so far - has it sagged, dried/ cracked?

I haven’t had any issues whatsoever! It’s held up perfectly and the moss that’s stuck to it is doing super well. I used the same method in another build recently as well and it’s also doing well 😊

Very nice and I’m totally inspired to recreate a similar build based on my local granite moorland. So simple but very effective. I might incorporate a dark pool or boggy mire as they are known around here to heighten the effect of bleakness. Think of Hound of the Baskervilles. Btw how did you water it and how much? Thanks

That sounds like a pretty sweet idea. And the seal is decently tight on the lid so I just spray a little bit if it starts to look a bit dry. I have some terrariums I haven’t sprayed down in months that are doing well
