There's no such thing as shelf queens with Ampro Engineering and that's why he's so awesome
That's the truth! Shelves are for books!
Low end buggies and trucks are where all the fun is!!!
Agreed
I save all my junk rc parts in hopes that one day I will end up with a free RC car like this.
Tell me about it, lol
I like videoes like this. Showing we do not need a 1000 dollar car to have fun. Simple things do often make the day, and save you alot of money. Just yesterday, I ordered my second GH2. Last time I had one was back in the 90's as my first tamiya car. I must admit, I ordered a set of CVA's to it, and a 380 Sport tuned. Why I did not go for the 540, is bc of the extra weight it ads to the allready heavy rear suspension.
Exactly, an expensive car is no more fun than this thing!
I have a soft spot for "dumpster fire" RC vehicles. Growing up I didn't have much money and literally drove my associated t2 into the ground. Being the moron kid I was and that we all were I made multiple epoxy and ductape repairs. One thing I did find was that making all those repairs taught me so much about using tools, suspension geometry and simply how to figure out the issue. Love the content, was never really a Tamiya guy until I started watching you
Thats the damn truth man. Cars like this are how we started and learned.
I love it, beater cars are fun. Every RC hobbyist with a good size collection should have at least one beater, even if the car is made from scrap parts.
Yeah i have to say that this car really has character and you can tell it's happy to be alive!
Totally agree. The fun cars are the cheapest ones 😎
Exactly!
Don't get rid of the decals! I thought it's called the Dumpster "Fire".
The decals couldn't be more fitting.
HAHAHAH!
That´s a great car right there.
For sure! the definition of an RC car.
Great video.
Thanks!
That's "Epic Garbage" I'd drive it!!!!!!
Lol! Thanks
Sweet video brotha 😊
Thanks!
This is the greatest little buggy and you know it! And don’t you dare remove those decals. That’s where half of its horsepower comes from!
Haha! I will put them on your Miata.
I have a HPI Baja 5B made from damaged or take off parts, it was never a complete buggy just bent cracked or scuffed parts apart from the battery even the servo's and receiver are repaired items, and yes friends who have never driven RC and particularly not the largescale class. So yep I like it that way.
That's awesome!
Cool. I have a Super Hornet I paid $40 for from a guy who just didn’t want it anymore. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how well it goes. It would seem the one in this vid is more than the sum of its parts.
Very true!
Red arrow has a bolt together shaft
Ill have to look at one
Nice👌👌
Thank you!
Will the 2.2 inch hornet wheels you made fit the Super Hornet without modifications?
No, The offset is wrong
this is what we call a clapped-out hooptie
I like that.
Nothing wrong with a junkyard dog,as you can run it anywhere.
I agree!
Can I use epoxy to fix chassis instead of replacing them?
Epoxy doesn’t really help. You have to use some things that will bond the chassis together on more of a molecular level. Then you can reinforce it with Styrene
I have the 1st Gen. Of the black for truck the super Blackfoot do you have any front and parts that can stiffen up this front and yes or no thank you please comment back
When it is done, it will be here. please stop asking about this.
Step 1: restore trashed Tamiya Grasshopper
Step 2: bash Tamiya Grasshopper until it's completely trashed
Step 3: restore trashed Tamiya Grasshopper
LOL
Don't you all just love how CZcams decided to show double ads for every add break someone puts? I bet they didn't even pay the creator any more than they used to it's just CZcams being greedy.
It is crazy. I am so tired of it.
Has anyone tried cutting out the resistor on a mechanical speed controller and connecting up a lipo for instant drill speed
Why not switching to an esc?
Hypothetically speaking... What would happen if I hooked up a 7.4v LiPo to a mechanical speed controller found in the older Tamiya cars?
@@K-Anator well you wouldn't want to keep the resistor block wired up because it would cook it
K-Anator™ it could take it, voltage is the same as a 7-cell NiMh on full charge.
@@ventisette. NOPE.
A full charged nimh cell as around 1.4V Volt, so 1,4*7=9,8V
How is the superfly 3.0 Project going
Very well. Most of the geometry in the trans is done but the 1:1 car is taking priority
I laughed through this whole video. I love how s#!tty it is. 😂🤣😂🤣
LOL! Me too!
@@AMPROEngineering love your videos man. We're about the same age and time in the hobby but unfortunately I'm that shelf queen guy. 😂😂. Although I usually try to get one to run and one to shelf... Finances permitting. Thanks for the great content and awesome sense of humor. Have a good one!
