I think I have a big reading range BECAUSE I mostly get books from the library. It's risk-free to read outside my comfort zone, and that's helped me discover new genres and authors.

The library is definitely a great way to try books. I love that my library has cloud library where I can get ebooks and audiobooks. I'm going to hear Kristina Forest discuss The Partner Plot today. I just finished it yesterday and I loved it.

Some libraries put the barcodes on the front of the books because its easier and faster to scan at the checkout desk.

I recently went to our local library and loved how it was set up kind of like a book store. They had a section of new releases catagorized by genre. There were Black History Month tables/displays set up with books by black authors, books about important black figures, black history, etc. There was a Valentine’s Day display with romance books. A display with the librarians’ favorite reads. The YA section even had “blind date with a book” display with books wrapped up and decorated like in the store. I hadn’t been there in so long. I really enjoyed browsing through the shelves. I ended up borrowing Better than Fiction by Alexa Martin. I also found None of This is True, by Lisa Jewell, in the “Lucky Day” section.

I love the library vlogs. I love my library our library lets you keep a book for three weeks. I get books ordered plus the book sales and free book cart it’s just a good time.
There are so many great things about the library!
You have to read “guys girl” I haven’t finished it but the story is really good. She falls in love with one of her best guy friends who helps her through an eating disorder and the author of the book wrote this book while she was going through her own eating disorder treatment.

I love library videos I guess because I love visiting them. Have been ever since I was a child. I'm there 2 days a week picking up books and returning from 2 separate county library systems...yes I have 2 library cards. Today I have to pick up 8-15 from one library and about 5 from the other.

I love these library vlogs! When i was a teenager i used to get sooo many books from the library, it’ll always have a special place in my heart. These videos are inspiring me to visit my local library. When i used to get books from the library i was definitely open to reading things that were outside of my comfort zone, because as you said if i didn’t like them i could just return them with no money lost. I found a lot of my favorite books that way. I’m excited to see what i find at the library near me.
I love our library. It's a beautiful building with lots of natural light. I do purchase from their used books but spending 50 cent or $1 is easy and supports the library.

Loved this video. I've been going to the library every week since 2016. I've been lucky enough that my last 2 apartments have both been right down the street from a library. We have a checkout limit of 200 physical items. Most books are in pristine condition because alot of people don't go and alot of people do audiobooks. They also have a ridiculous DVD/Blu-ray/movie section that feels like a free Blockbuster. They even have PlayStation and Xbox games you can place on hold. I barely pay for entertainment nowadays 😅.

I can't afford to buy books so I go to the library every week, sometimes twice a week. I think I bought a total of 7 books last year, and only one was full price. The rest were all thrift store purchases. I wish I had money to buy books, but the library is a wonderful way to get all the books I want to read. Glad you started doing library vlogs! I love my local one and I consider all the librarians there my friends, even though we don't know each other outside of the library, lol.

I started going back to my local library and was shook at how many "new"/viral books they had. I still buy because i'm a annotator, but the library is nice for the feel good reads I don't plan to mark in.

As I've gotten back into reading recently as well as going to my local library, I love the library vlogs! I plan to go to my library next on 11th as I have some that are due and some I want to pick up of course. At my library you can have them for 3 weeks and can renew them several times (unless someone puts a hold on them).

There's one library in the library system that withheld the newer releases from being put on hold by library cardholders from the library system that I take my chances if I can get said book or not. Nothing against having their own cardholders get first dibs, but if I find a book in the online catalog and it's only available from that particular library, I either just have to wait or be on the hold waitlist for an indefinite time. Otherwise, I adore my library lots.
When I was a child, I loved the library. But between me being a mood reader, the long waits to get the books and the selection of books in my local library, I haven’t been in a library in years.
I totally feel you about buying books and then end up not liking them! Ive wasted sooo much money lol. Ive been getting in the habit of borrowing the book first from a friend, library, anywhere free. Or sometimes thrifted so atleast its cheap lol. If I loved it then ill buy a physical copy. My collection only consists of books i loved and that makes me happy 🥰
I love your library vlogs! I'm someone who heavily uses my library and Libby app, and it's honestly important to do so because that tells your area / state how important the library is to the community.
As for Amazon - it's not really on them. The mail has been incredibly slow lately in general which is allegedly because mail delivery workers have become fewer.
For the holiday books, just be sure to put a hold on them around the 1st of November, because they are usually not available when you want them during the winter season.
I definitely utilize the home delivery of books from the library, I can get books from any library in my county delivered so convenient I love it but I do want to actually go in more and actually browse which is just a different feeling

Love your library videos! I wish ours had more of the newer books. It's also not as big...I do love the vibe there. They don't care if everyone talks. If you want to see people from town, that's a good place to do that. I go there to write sometimes. :)
I love the library videos! I go to my library once a week or more. And I use the apps for audiobooks just about everyday. I get so many books from the library because they sound good. I DNF quite a few as well because I don’t like the narrative voice or it just isn’t the right time. But I don’t have to feel guilty because it is a library book.

I used to go to my local library all the time when I was younger. It was so fun to go in there and find a great book to read and get lost in the pages. My library is now being renovated. Hopefully, the library will be done soon. I know that it's going to look amazing.
I work at my local library and it is SO hard not to check out like 20 books every time I work. 😂 And when we get shipments of new books… ohhhhh myyyyy!! I live in a rural area and most of my purchases are delivered. There has been a significant increase in shipping times across the board. Its not just Amazon, but on top of the time Amazon has stopped with free shipping on larger orders as well. That being said I migrated back to ordering straight from 'the manufacturer" so-to-speak bcuz without the benefit of speed of delivery I go for the less expensive option.
I recently picked up Midnight is the darkest hour-Ashley Winstead, Next of kin- Hannah Bonam Young and The last passenger - Will Dean.
I only use the library or Kindle unlimited for books.

Loved this so much and would love to see more of these videos. Libraries are such a great place. I get all my book from there, so I go there nearly every week. If my library doesn’t have what I need they will get it from other libraries.
