Hurricane Florence Wednesday 8 a.m. update | Flood chances increasing for Charlotte

  • With the latest shift in Florence's track, Charlotte can expect to see more heavy rain and winds from the storm. Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich says the storm is likely going to make landfall as a Category 4 after possibly being upgraded to a Category 5 storm.

      I’m good but what he said about the hurricane curving back up it gonna have a direct hit on Pa where I live but It will probably be a low cat 1,Tropical Storm,Tropical Depression. :/

    This is good advice, true wind will cause a lot of damage, but it's the storm surge and floodings that kill people.

    In that footage of the storm with the outline of the United States that comes in at 31 seconds into the video, why isn't the land the color of land such as green and brown?? Why is it blue like the water?

    It has been downgraded to Cat. 3, still very strong though. Tomorrow will be crucial in how bad it will be when this thing makes landfall. Could be Cat. 2 (best case scenario), could also be back up to Cat. 4. Flooding will be a big issue no matter what.

      Cristina Briano good question...not hearing a word about that threat. I did hear at least one of those nukes are the same as the one that failed in Japan .
