I appreciate the background context being added in!
So glad you found the added context valuable! 🙌 I try to be as comprehensive as possible in breakdowns within a short time frame. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Stay tuned!!
As someone who also is an emotional person, I also have always resonated with Candace. It's not a bad thing to cry about things that hurt you or your feelings and it's not to make others feel bad but to be a healthy way to not hold on to emotions that would ultimately cause more issues and build up resentment from holding back honesty from people who (supposedly) care about you. And when you bring up something to someone and bring down only logic just to get a dismissive and defense answer it will obviously make things more emotional. We all want acceptance and sympathy and can't heal when the people you're the most close to use it as an excuse to bring up their feelings because they don't like what you had to say.
I think the 5 steps presented are amazing ways to work through this. Even when you don't have a mature audience, these are amazing ways to express emotions without causing defensiveness.
@barikareese, thank you for your thoughtful comment! I completely agree that being emotionally sensitive isn't a weakness and that expressing our feelings is crucial for processing them. You make an excellent point about the challenges of communicating openly when met with defensiveness. I'm so glad the 5 steps resonated with you as effective strategies!
loved your commentary!!
Obsessed with this!!!
The audio is a little “under water-y,” and I wish there was a lot less bias, but I would love to see more of this type of video!
@KakashisOnlyGirl1 thanks for the feedback! We're working on improving the audio with each ep. Total objectivity isn't really possible or the goal here, but I def could've been more balanced in thinking about Porsha's perspective. Hopefully my associate producer's insights empathising with her resonated and added value! Your support means a lot - stay tuned, more great stuff is coming!
SHES BACK! i love this.
@twstwstwst yay, so glad you enjoyed it! 🙌 Thanks for the sweet comment and support. More juicy eps coming your way asap! 💖
