A wonderful new yacht from Hallberg-Rassy. My wife wants to know, how much is the 'Equipped with a man who can cook' option?

You're question makes no sense but I'll try to decipher it. Girls/women like to nest they are homemakers, if the galley is elongated it will be wife friendly. I'm sure you could get that layout option. However, it is not as suitable for blue-water sailing for as a u-shaped galley is.

Hi Eric. Thanks for your reply and advice. Firstly, let me say that I wish I could write in a second language as well as you write in your second language. :-) My question, which was really a question from my wife, was in fact a joke. She wanted to know if a new Hallberg-Rassy 44 would somehow turn any man who stepped on board into a fully capable ship's cook, based on seeing Magnus Rassy preparing a meal in the video. I think she would like to see the same effect on me, on land and at sea!
Now, since you have knowledge about blue-water cruising and galley design, can I ask you to please expand on your advice about a U-shaped galley versus a linear galley? Perhaps you are suggesting that a U-shaped galley provides support surfaces to lean against in all four directions?

Hi Mauser. Your second language skills are just fine. I understood the joke perfectly well so Eric must have been answering a different comment because his makes no sense at all given the question.

0:54 This Hallberg-Rassy 44 is doing 8.13 Knots in 7.1 Knots of True Wind Speed and 10.2 Knots of Apparent Wind Speed, at 30 degrees Apparent Wind Angle. That seems to be quite good.

    Subtitles would be nice.
