    You should make a touchscreen control console so the user can define which patter he wants. Ah those cali steady burns!

    On the Legend, some patterns are naturals for many agencies in my native California, especially with the SignalMaster option. For the rear, Pattern 5 on SS3 with Pattern 10 on the TAPII intersection timer are satisfactory, with blue left/amber center/red right (as implemented by the Highway Patrol on Whelen hardware) . For the front, make it Pattern 15 on SS3, with Pattern 24 on the TAPII intersection timer, red left/white center/blue right with a Position 3 steady-burn. Special programming would be needed to steady-burn the rear blue with the SignalMaster Directional or Warn2 mode active.

      B. C. Schmerker I like your suggestions and have programming questions to accomplish the different rear patterns.

    @OnBakePlatinum The Legend lightbar does not currently have SpectraLux as an option but it is being considered for future development. As for the split views, we have had that suggestion before and are considering it on future flash pattern videos.

    Federal Signal is just quality products, this bar is beautiful. Here in El Salvador, the police uses FS Jetsolaris in sustitution of the older Halogen Streethawk.

  • @northernlightsandsirens4230

    Great lightbar that's older, sure, but has proven itself again and again. It's like the Arjent series of lightbars in that it's not going anywhere anytime soon. My home city's police still has Arjent SLs in use that look brand new.

    I'm with HBKBK more video's please. Keep up the good work fedsig. Video's of Legend's, Arjent's, Raydian's and ILS are always welcomed.

  • @fedsigpublicsafety
    @fedsigpublicsafety  Před 12 lety

    The Legend can be configured with steady burn but be sure to select this option when ordering.

    @rudeboystu69 The mechanic chooses one of the patterns for each mode (1,2,3, warning) during the install. The officer will have 3 or 4 previously chosen patterns available from the control head, not all 26.

    Keeping it in American, glad to see!

    We are sorry to hear that you have been misinformed. Federal Signal’s Legend and Vipers are manufactured in University Park, Illinois, USA.
    In terms of the Legend video, we agree that it is not at the best angle. New video will be released shortly.

      Whats the 6th and 11th pattern called? We have one of these on a ford interceptor ulitity and it has the red n blue in the front and all amber rear with red n blue on the ends and the pattern is set to go from the middle put real fast. ...... With all amber and red n blue ends it looks like a construction worker from a distance, whats that pattern called?

    6:36 I think that's what the Crockett county Tennessee sheriff's department has the ones on thier chargers set on.

  • @fedsigpublicsafety
    @fedsigpublicsafety  Před 13 lety

    @cwjones0322 While both patterns do look similar, pattern #3 has only two steps (heads 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12 flashing alternately with heads 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, and 16. Pattern #4 flashes the same heads with some OFF time between flashes.

    4:32 the Alamo TN Police department has a Chevy Impala and of course Tennessee obviously it's blue/white has that same pattern.

  • @Bellman84

    Also 45 and 90 degree shots. Maybe even two seperate bars i.e Legend vs. Arjent.

  • @OnBakePlatinum

    @hunteremergencylight the sag is an optical illusion because of the curved reflective roof of the patrol car.

  • @OnBakePlatinum
    @OnBakePlatinum Před 12 lety

    @fedsigpublicsafety Wow, how cool you actually responded. Hey fedsig, are you aware of Rontan's Wide-E mirror setup? It seems to blow Solaris completely away.

    Thank you for the pattern video! Any chance of getting other light pattern videos? (i.e. the ILS lightbar, Viper S2/EXTs, etc.) Or maybe post the pattern videos on their respective product pages on the Federal Signal website?

  • @OnBakePlatinum
    @OnBakePlatinum Před 12 lety

    Is there going to be a spectralux version coming out? Also instead of switching between front and back, just crop out the light bar only and split the horizontal middle of the video so front is on top and back is on bottom so we can see them at the same time.

    we installed legend lpx light bar on our squad's suv but was advised by the dealer here in malaysia not to use the six button controller bcoz the controller is no good and malfunctions a lot. we installed a four button controller instead and that left us with just one pattern of light. dissapointing!!
