- Mayim Bialik is an American actress, neuroscientist, author and film director. From 1991 to 1995, she played the title character of the NBC sitcom Blossom. Mayim later played neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory from 2010 to 2019.
She hosts Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, a quirky, informative, and interactive podcast breaking down the myths and misunderstandings about mental health and emotional well-being.

The way she speaks to be a late developer in such a gentle way, like it's no big thing, made me choke up a little. She is so right, those kids don't need labels and therapy and to be singled out. The extra stress of being told you're behind, broken, and need EXTRA work when really you need less work and more time to develop is something that is so lost on our society as a whole. I'm so happy she touched on this.
