You're not old, you're amazing. As to my being independent, of course I am. I've never had anyone consistently there for me for any meaningful duration in my life and my kids needed me to succeed in every possible way that I could. He assumes that I'm hyper independent in relationships but, we were never a couple, so how would he know? Despite not being a couple, I put up with a lot of unhealthy behavior - including my own - and have yet to abandon him. Even when he's given me the silent treatment for almost a year or said deeply hurtful, rejecting things to me. If I'd do all that for someone I care about who's in my life as a friend, imagine how much more devoted I am to my partner and lover. 🤔 #lesstalkmoremonkey
