Always love this time of year, as Innistrad has been my favorite plane, and wolves are a little more in the spotlight. Always glad so see little furry buddies get some respect.

People (myself included) also try to give Crypt Rats lifelink sometimes, which is one of my favorite shenanigans to pull off.

Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni is from Betrayers of Kamigawa. The previous set (Champions of Kamigawa) had a card Nezumi Graverobber which flipped into Nighteyes the Desecrator. They're both legendary rats named for their eyes.
Pack Rat is also really cool in a Volrath the Shapestealer edh deck. Volraths cloning ability causes him to lose his legendary type if it's copying a nonlegendary creature. So you can put a counter on the Rats, use Volraths ability to become a copy of it, and then you can activate the Volrath version of the Rat to put copies of itself on the field. Each time you do this, the token will enter with Volraths cloning ability attached to it. Then you can use all those tokens with clone abilities to change into all kinds of weird stuff lol

Greasefang is a fun powerful cool card, and she's inexpensive too.
Stepdaughter lost her pet rat not long ago. Poor thing didn't know a rats lifespan wasn't very long.

I've thought about a pet rat many times but they're so short lived I don't wanna go through losing my little buddy
If you do decide to get rats, you need to get more than one. They are very social and need at least one rat friend, otherwise they get really depressed.

Ahhhh rats, I like rats. They're far better than mice. With Halloween, a holiday I normally don't celebrate, around the corner, I've been playing a lot more Ghostricks in YuGiOh. Nothing has changed in MTG, including me desire for "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!

@alwaysabiggafish3305 I'm almost solely arena these days. I sold out my collection back in 2015 from Revised/4th through the second Ravinca block. Right before the format changes and new introductions skyrocketed everything. Lion's Eye Diamond was still $1 a piece when I sold, so going back paper, after my horrible choice of when to sell, is disheartening
@@griefbear2925I sold my alpha through 2013 collection in 2013. Got some money, but it would have been like 4 times as much these days with the right buyer. Just remember it's all just cardboard. Also, rats do work in historic when you use lord skitter and Karunonix with a lot of pack rats. Sneaking in a teferi's protection tends to help

Chittering Rats were so good in mbc devotion in pauper a fewer years ago. Hope they can really play o ephemerate decks now 💪
Tbh if I’d had to bet on which Neon Dynasty saga was on this list I would have confidently gone with Okiba Reckoner Raid. Tribute does make a lot of sense in Transmog decks though

This isn't the first time he's done rats.
Packrats also made people realize tokens have mana costs, and could contribute to devotion. The headache math was quite strong, but it was nice for solidifying such an important property.
Token COPIES have mana costs, not all tokens.
The create X rats spell in New Eldraine is gonna be great in a black red token/enchant deck

Ahhh, Is my favorite deck, Bought mine off of card Kingdom for $220. For a maxed out commander rat deck.
The time frame for #8, Nezumi Graverobber is wrong (you have it as 2022), as it is an older card.

I feel like animals become clean because they live in an environment that requires it. Rats are definitely cuties, regardless of habitat.

Love rats, one of my favourite tribes for casual because they can really bite...Pun intended. No but seriously, they can overwhelm so quickly.
Sure, there are a ton of misconceptions about rats but there's also the undeniable fact that feral rats are voracious pests and excellent disease vectors. The latter are responsible for their spooky reputation by the way. Either keep them well cared for and supervised as pets or wild and far away from civilization but never give them free runaround in towns and cities.

Any rat list without relentless rats is just disappointing. He doesn't get enough respect.
Not a fan of using pauper aa a meaningful format for data. It arbitrarily puts a bunch of commons into the list that just don't cut it outside of the format. It seems antithetical to the purpose of the video.
Everything is 'arbitrary' though. Should he exclude cards from other formats because 'they don't cut it in vintage'? At the end of the day whether or not a format's cards should make the list is...well entirely up to the list maker, but it should be based on the popularity of the format. If pauper became the most played format, you'd have to consider it for your lists wouldn't you? So to me the question is more about whether pauper is popular enough to justify its successful cards cracking the lists. And objectively speaking, which this channel seems to try to do (be objective) I would say yes.
Ink eyes should have been number one I remember when she came out everybody thought she was awesome
your channel is very cool on mtg!, but if your native language is NOT English, then for me, for example, the channel becomes absolutely useless.
I studied English at school, but your speech is very fast and therefore I just don't have time to understand what you are saying there. therefore, your content is apparently only for the English.
Most of these rats are in my Ashcoat the Shadowswarm EDH deck.
Along with Ogre Slumlord and about 30 copies of Relentless rats. Super fun deck
