Most of it was a pre bought cage off ebay but chopped most of it up and reconfigured it to how I wanted it to look. The benders are OK but leave dents in the tube no matter how you bend it them 10mm increments or all in one.
I riveted the ally panel with some angle brackets up inside and then fibergalssed the inside corner, then filled with filler and painted to give the smooth look, inside I welded a panel from the floor up to panel where the glass would be on the rear door and welded that to the rear of the cab to make the cab watertight if that makes sense
Hiya sorry for getting back so late I'm hardly on here I used a pice of 2x2 across the chassis as the bottom then all the uprights and other box is 1x1inch box the. Welded 1.5mm plate to the back of cab from inside.
@@dorgsautos8671 I’ve built my own frame for the back of my cab out of 3x3 box, but need to find a sheet big enough to cover the lot. Did you use one piece of sheet or did you do it in sections?
@@toml7934 I used 2 prices mate you can probably see the join in the middle, I seem welded them and then flushed the welds with a grinder then tried to Smith body filler. Wasn't the best job idealy 1 piece would be better.
