I'm a radiology technologist I've been in Radiology technologist for 21 years I'm also legally blind I have been wearing Loops for or work the last 10 years now through the commission for the blind I have a digital falcon that is electrical and reads my Iris of my eye allowing me to see nearsighted and farsighted with the falcon
Thats insane
Can u send me 20$ please
I am less afraid of my eyeballs derping out when I get old due to my collagen being extra squishy. If something can check how things are squished on a moment to moment basis, I will have a much easier time with vision. Contact lenses work best for now, since they have dented themselves a nice slot over my iris to hold it to the shape of the lens.
Salary?
That's very cool, sounds awesome.
It basically makes their job easier and allows them to see greater detail you would normally never be able to see. That is why surgeons can reattach nerves.
No, their self confidence from how cool they look (from the loupes, obviously) is what makes surgeons able to reattach nerves. The magnification just makes it easier.
Loupes arent that powerful. More likely a surgery like that would be done with a microscope.
@@firstletterofthealphabet7308 it's all about swag
Indeed you are a very cool person sir
I love you sir
This is a doctor who knows his job, very talented I'm grateful for all the doctors in America who cares for our citizens.
"Serious but very Cool..."...😄😄😄
I mean is he wrong? It you went into the OR and saw this dude you’d be like “ok I’m gonna be fine, this motherfucker knows what he’s doing.”
@@Senriam ever since i saw Samos from Jak & Daxter I knew he was serious
dude got an acog on his eyes
Surgeons are Boss no matter what 🎉
Used 2.5x for years. Then I tried 3.5x. How I wished I jumped straight to it.
Are you also a surgeon? I require context???
@@gasriel3066jewler likely
@@gasriel3066 all of the context is there, you’re just not putting together the pieces.
@@gasriel3066 im pretty sure this guy must be a cashier
Do you think you would feel the same at 4.5 then?
Dr. Choll is looksmaxxing
The difference between medical and jewelers loops is mostly focal length. Typical jewler loop is 10x and most surgical loops 2-2.5x from what i know.
I use a jewelers loupe (I believe 5-10x magnification) for telling the authenticity of Magic cards. Great invention with many useful applications
I use it for electronics. Some of the modern surface mount stuff has multiple pins per mm. Being able to see that they are all soldered correctly is helpful.
I don't care what ur surgical team says about you you're cool in my book
Loupe is french for magnifying glass.
ouais
Like the German word Lupe
Or like Portuguese word Lupa
@@alban1959....Genau👌🏻
loupes: French word for magnifying glass.
We have Lupa/lupi meaning the same.
Lupe in German. We might be on to something here, guys.
Hi Dr kim.. sorry to nit pick. They actually reduce the amount of light. The head torch compensates for this. The higher mag you run the less light getting to your eyes. (Been running loupes and an operating microscope for the last decade)
Hey, I've looked through loops and I can see much better than my prescription glasses I was born. Apparently the astigmatism and just a few points below. Legally blind in one eye the other day I looked through a telescope in the day light and I couldn't believe my eyes or my brain for that matter. I was like oh my lord. Why couldn't my glasses let me see like this. This is wonderful! Of course I was looking through a telescope. With my My good eye
magnifiers is a better transation than telescopes
One time after my Fiancée had surgery, the surgeon came out carrying a metal briefcase that looked like it came from a spy movie, I asked him what was in it, and it was his surgical telescopes. Everything went very well!
Photography also uses the term loupe. The little magnifier used to look at individual frames in a proof sheet, in the days of film photography. And today the term is also used in the lightroom app for when looking at one frame at a time with digital photography.
How much do they cost?
Dr Kim. Love your videos, they are so interesting, educational and entertaining.
I fell off the roof, fusion and both ankles detroyed. Been in pain for 9 years. Its really intriguing to learn all about spinal surgeries and issues. Maybe learning WHY or WHAT causes all this discomfort. Lol
Keep doing what you are doing!!!
Aloha & Mahalos
😎🤙
why add your medical history on a SOCIAL MEDIA post? seriously
Dr. Mike needs to see this.
I ran across your videos super cool
Amazing surgeon 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Dr. Kim the G 💪🏽
Coolest accessory ever. You go, doc
Great informational video with this surgeon 😊
My surgeon, aka the guy who fixed my shoulder, was exactly this cool. Surgeons are the real deal.
Keep doing great work doc! ❤
I actually asked about your head gear on a different video and it's cool to see you explain, thanks
Dr Kim is da man. Very cool
Bro has a cool job!! Smarter than that’s for sure.
I used to work as an operating room nurse and the surgeons ask me to lower their loops. I thought it’s spelled that way. 😂
I was actually just wondering this from your last vid
They definitely are cool. Would love to try those when working on small electronics. :)
This is such cool content
Thank you😊.
And once I started using them goodbye, being able to thread a needle without glasses, there forever changed my eyes
i cant wait till hololens is highly integrated into surgery and medicine moreover.
God bless you Doctor
Ooooo i want these for embedding tiny little GI samples for histology
We used those in solar panel mfg to diagnose process imperfections in panels after they're laminated! Super handy
God bless you always doctor....❤❤❤❤
Loupe is like the German Lupe which is "magnifying glass" in English.
I love you so much dr kim
Hey, my x-ray looks just like the one in the background!! I had an L4-S1 ALIF.
got those doctah goggles
Surgeons are always cool.
The watchmaker, that’s hilarious Doctor
Cool Doctor 💯💯💯
Magnifying glass.....😌
You sound like Robin Williams. ❤
As soon as he said it was invented by a German, it totally made sense to me
found the solution to my poor vision problem
“Made by a German”
Why am I totally unsurprised that this originated from Germany lol
German was the scientific language of medicine before WW2
Because you're stupid?
Loups sound like Lupa in Spanish which means magnifying glass
You are very cool❤
It makes you look smart af
I need a pair of those
Ngl kinda wana add these on my welding hemet so i can see the puddle better
That’s a cool I want to pair to do my

I like this guy
Like the surgeon's version of night vision goggles.
You’re right, coooooool …
My phone has 100x zoom, so 🤷 . Lol I'm kidding....
And worn by dental professionals. Mostly dentist and hygienist. 😊
Thanks France 🇫🇷💪🏻
I need a pair of these. Where to buy?
I wanna know what you are wearing on your glasses to prevent fogging !!??
I know of loupes, being a jeweler person...
Probably would work really well for PCB repair.
Sir I have a very bad pain in my lower back ..I really need help. Please
Loupes on😎
Well serious. At least
Without engineer today's doctors are just ommmmffooooooo😂😂😂😂😂
Where do I buy?😂
Gonna buy a pair for electronics
Loupes literally means magnifying glasses in French
bro has a 2.5 scope
I like a surgeon topping off the video by saying he looks cool. You do look cool
Can i know the brand name of this loups
I wanna see what Kind of car he drives for real
Doesn it mess up your vision after a while ?
Have ppl never seen a jewel inspection in the movies? XD Come ooon! Ya all KNOW what these are!!
I thought magnified lenses inherently brought in less light?
what is the headlight you are using sir?
That’s an Integra
which model and where can i get in USA? its not available in India@@ZachLimas8
"lupa" (loo-pA) in Spanish.
Ñamaste tq 🎉🎉
why do i feel like he could talk about fragrances?
You should get together was one of your optometrist and make glasses so that you can see that good out of them. Or is that impossible? I don't know. I just know that the light came through my brain like it never has. When I look through this very expensive telescope I was in total shock. It's just an unbelievable enlightenment shall I say. Anyway, it's just a thought.
I guess the main advantage of that is making getting your face too close to the opening not necessary.
I could do with a pair of these to work on electric guitars. 🎸👀
In german it's called "die Lupe" and in Vietnamese "kính lúp".
Why no prisms in your loupes?
What are the chances of my surgeon giving me his loupes after my surgery if I ask him nicely?
2.5x is what most dental hygienists use. Interesting.
Could I use this with a gun and have built in magnification in my eye 😂 .ide use one on my scope eye
Looks good, works...win, win😅
