- Following on directly from the last session, using the multi-track recording I made to do a virtual sound check on the desk. This session covers the desk settings including I/O patching, Reaper routing, and demonstrates using these.
The sections are as follows:
00:00 - Introduction
01:07 - Desk Settings and I/O
04:02 - Reaper Settings and Routing
05:41 - Playback through the desk
07:27 - Fine Tuning Tracks
09:00 - Finishing Up - Věda a technologie
How do you save your new changes back into the scene? Thanks - I enjoyed the whole series.
Great that you're finding them useful! Saving changes back is just a case of saving the scene again, the same as doing it with a real band. Unless I've misunderstood your question?
Why is the USB off-set? I’m having trouble getting one of my overhead channels to play through the PA. It’s not getting signal from reaper. I’ve been setting everything routing-wise the same way on the board, so channel 1 to kick, 2 to snare etc. is my issue in that area somewhere maybe?
I do it that way as I've always had Main L/R routed to USB channels 1 and 2, but you don't have to. I show this in the previous video. If a channel is not coming through I would check the routing in Reaper matches the USB routing on the desk, it's most likely one of those doesn't match.
@@stjamesstyvechalepateam to ask another noob question- why do you like to send main L/R to 1 and 2?
@@TheSoundHog it was the default on the desk and I just got used to having it 🙂 Decided later just to keep doing it that way rather than go back and change things I'd done in the past.
