David Soul was a diverse, multi-talented individual. A superb singer/songwriter, actor/director & humanitarian. I was not aware that he had such serious health issues before he passed away. God Blessed this SOUL with both inner/outer Beauty & many wonderful talents. Most of all a human heart that wanted to help/contribute as much as possible to some communities in need. I was Blessed to have been part of a generation that was able to appreciate & enjoy his gifts. I loved his singing. I enjoyed S&H, also many of his movies. I loved that song, Don't Give Up ON Us Baby since I was little. I didn't know about David's struggle and so glad he recovered. Few people will tell you how they almost....and grateful to have made it through. My mother is 86 and is a survivor as well.

He actually nearly died twice! He got viral pneumonia when making the movie The Stick Up, then he was close to dying when a-hip operation went wrong a few years ago ! We are lucky he still alive

I met him in 2016 along with Paul Micheal Glaser and Huggy Bear. This was at the NEC Birmingham England. He was in a wheelchair and I got talking to someone who said he was waiting for hip operation, He was a bit rude to someone who was taking a picture of David and ordered the securiy staff to take the guy out of the theatre at the NEC, He was miserable I guess he was i so much pain waiting for the operation.

Prayers for you David to stay as healthy as possible. You are definitely one of the best as far as I’m concerned as and actor/singer. Starsky and Hutch help me not lose my mind. I was not aware that he'd been married so many times, and that he'd been ill as well. I remember him appearing on the car show Top Gear a number of years ago, and driving around the track in the car, bedecked with the flashing red light and the white stripe down the side. I must admit, his two popular songs, Silver Lady, and Don't Give Up On Us, are guilty pleasures of mine, but David, I wish you all the very best with your health and wellbeing for the future, you are a legend.

I HAD NOT SEEN DAVID IN YEARS, BUT, FELT I SHOULD CONTACT HIM TO SEE HIM. I WANTED DAVID TO MEET MY SON. THIS WAS ON MAY 22, 2017. I LEFT A MESSAGE FOR DAVID AND HE CALLED ME WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. HE WANTED TO SEE ME, BUT, WAS ON HIS WAY TO THE HOSPITAL TO BE CHECKED IN FOR SOME SWOLLEN LEG PROBLEM. HE ASKED IF WE COULD MEET HIM IN HIS HOSPITAL ROOM IN THREE HOURS, WHICH WE DID. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE EACH OTHER…..HE LOOKED AT MY 20 YEAR OLD SON AND SAID….YOU LOOK JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER USED TO….AND SMILED HIS BEAUTIFUL SMILE…..ITS SO GREAT TO SEE YOU, DANNY….HE WAS A SPECIAL MAN….GODSPEED DAVID …..

Omgosh i recently lost two of best friends the first one a good friend from the 70s to the 80s then two weeks later my nephew died from cancer then my best friend hair stylist passed away n now one of my fav ppl in all the world david soul ! Interesting tidbit...David Soul and Bobby Sherman played brothers on 'Here Come The Brides'. They both met Patty Carnel during this time, with Bobby marrying her from '71-'79. Soul then married her the following year till '86. Draw your own conclusions. Not sure if they remained friends afterwards. It was kind of like George Harrison and Eric Clapton sharing the same wife...who was ALSO named Patti, oddly enough. Ahhhh the swingin' 60's and '70's!😄 RIP David Soul.

Oh my his horrible health issues David had with hip surgery. My Our God and David’s Heart and Soul of wanting to survive won out, kept him alive throughout his ordeal. My husband went through the similar thing after Back Surgery. Instead of coming home in two days, he lost his oxygen levels and went to ICU for 14 days. He was on life support and after fourteenth days woke and was taken off Ventilator. He had to learn to walk, talk,eat, write, and think clearly. He had hard time getting out what he wanting to say. But nothing like David had gone through, all the days in different areas of hospital and in all the different hospitals. Thank God he survived.
I dearly loved Starsky & Hutch. It was totally awesome show. Never missed a show!!!! And I adored each of the two characters. The remade show was good but did not compare to David & Paul and especially there chemistry together. Loved it!!!!
