- In this video we meet up with Rick Hannah from Dirty Dick's Motos and he shows us his custom Kawasaki W650 desert sled, which is his latest custom scrambler build project. At the end of the video Rick also takes the bike out for a ride so we can hear how it sounds.

a piece of art
Clever attaching of the front-guard-stays , a clean-machine that really does look 60's . Dave NZ
Gorgeous! That olive green is a great choice. Nickel plating explains why that much of it doesn't look like too much. It's so much nicer, and less in-your-face, than chrome.
That's is one of the cleanest bikes I've seen, and definitely the best looking Kawasaki ever.
Stunning. There´s a thousand ways to build a W and this is one of my favourites.
This is amazing!!!!! I’m not that into custom bikes these days but you genuinely make a better final product than where the bike started! Thanks classic motorcycle channel for presenting this!
Absolutely gorgeous bike! We love Kawasaki. Thanks.
I love this bike - saw it at the Bike Shed Show earlier in the year....right up my street this beauty!
It's still for sale mate. I'll take a Royal Enfield as a trade in. :)
Consider swapping your RE650 for one of these! It'll make sense when you ride it with the origional format build from the origional BSAs of old.
Elle est MAGNIFIQUE! MERVEILLEUSE! Well done man!!!
Wow, what great builds! I have a W650 myself, just like you said with your 'mule' it's a bike that'll get you anywhere, anytime. Seeing all the work on these though makes me think about what I could be doing to mine too!
Beautiful machine. The seam weld on the fuel tank really was a great idea. Those ugly seams on the bottom of alot of tanks really make any bike look cheap on an otherwise great machine. Love it.
Well done. I always wanted one of these bikes just for the bevel drive cam; the only bike with this configuration I would ever be able to afford.
Love what you did a d that's to say the least. I got somewhere with my 1972 Norton commando and nowhere near your finish even with the cash I put into it so I bow down to you.

Admired your vintage taste, and the many hours devoted to each byke.
Cheers 🍻
AAAmazing bike man!! what details ! so sweet. I would have hade a w650 but for some reason the one I tried hade some bad vibrations that dident go well with me. cant be more beautiful almost
What a gorgeous build. I want, I want, I want!
Hahaha get in touch, it's for sale
@@headlesskitten Getting it to South Africa is the problem!
Absolutely beautiful. Great vision. 👍
Simply a stunning custom bike. I have a Royal Enfield with a similar green and love it.
Just one word no 2 !! bloody fantastic I luv it what a great looking bike so well done congrats on making something really special .👌
Wow, just beautiful!

The sensual sound and look of freedom on a perfect sunny day!

Butter sweet grunt.....sweet engine.....love from INDIA...
Love it easily one of my fav bike 😍🔥
Beautiful conversion.....
You make THE most beautiful motorcycles in the world.
Thank you.
Gorgeous, hope to do like this asap.
Beautiful bike 🏍
Fantastic build.
Great, well done mods….I love the look. ..👍🏻. These days, W-800 my fav factory motorcycle. You folks, still riding on the wrong side of the road. (Tarmac) 👈🏻😉
Beautiful
Had a w650 for 10 years fabulous bike had to sell it after leaving HK. My other bike was Kawasaki Z900rs
Nice 👍 one sir 💪👏💪
sublime
👏🏻A beauty and sound amazing.
Lovely bike, quite subtle.
Absolutely fucking stunning!!
Very nice :)
Clean bike!
I seldom like conversions like this, but yours is awesome.
I would commit many crimes for the pleasure of seeing one of those in my garage 😎
Was gonna ask- jetting, til u mentioned OEM. My standard carrbs were impossible to jet with pods for low speed town riding
Nice
Sounds good
Lovely bikes!
Lovely stuff !
Brilliant!
Beautiful bike, particularly the blue one. I’d love to do something along those lines do what would say over and above the cost of the donor bike would something like this cost?
Very nice
I wonder where those good-looking fenders come from?
とても格好いいです。
Saw this bad boy at the London show (I think) the video although brilliant does not do justice as to the quality of this build. Doing something in a similar style with a 75 KZ 750 twin, but nowhere this build in talent and budget.
The updated carbs do you have a link to those and do they easily replace the originals? Big thanks brilliant build
Webike or Allen's Performance can sort you come carbs
😍
Looks very nice but I once sat on an XS650 "Scrambler" you wouldn't want to take it on the dirt
Hey I bought a stock but I want it to sound like yours how is there a tutorial video you can make?!
Great engineering. They’d look good on some American highways near me.
Do you have any indication on price?
£19500. Can ship to the US.
is this bike 270 degree for it's motor?
360
I absolutely love it. Do you just build bikes for yourself, do you sell them or build to order?
Depends, mostly built to order, or build to sell. My personal bikes are never finished!
@@headlesskitten I know where to come if I'm ever in a position to comission a build. 👍
Don't remind ya self mate you really just wanted a 68 Triumph TT120
A fantastic bike and build. One criticism those exhaust pipes look very low to me and consequently there's not much ground clearance when off road which is presumably the machines intended use.
Not wanting to be too critical but this bike is far too new for me and so not a classic.
They call me Megamonkey
Too pretty to take off road.
