As a french (and a native of the City) i need to say that we don't pronounce the final "s"
But, also need to that, at the time, peoples probably say it more "latin" and probably pronounce it "Suession" like a latin, with the "O" and the "N" clairly separate or "Sissons" probably with the the final "S" and the "nasal" "on"
But !! If it's always "Soissons", with and in what we call "francien" or "old french" the "s" is always mute and we still have the nasal "on" but, the "oi" is pronounced like an "oé"

Recently did a Soissons game where I managed to reunify the entire Western Empire under the Syagrius dynasty. Was going to deal with the Islamic Caliphate and the eastern traitors before the game started lagging to shit and I couldn't go further.

Yes, Hispania Carthaginensis used to be a Roman province with a center in the modern-day city of Cartagena (formerly Carthago Spartaria/Carthago Nova) which was founded by Carthage (and in fact was given the same name in the Punic language as the original Carthage itself).
