But I’m definitely gonna have to give this a shot based on the tech, I like a lot of it
I love the 37's better than the 36. I cannot speak for the other modern ones pre-36. But I bought the this colour, the Raptor (which I so love) and ordered the Rui Hachimura (RED) version (I receive by mid June 2023 per eBay) since I will not wait till December 2023 (US Market) to own one.
For my experience on J37, ankle support is decent. Not the best. Traction is the best out all my shoes (Lebron 19, Impact 3, Giannis Immortality 2, & Lebron Witness VI). All have decent traction btw with the exception of my Lebron 19s which make up for ankle support, convenience to my knees due to the Air, Zoom Air and Cushlon. It's more than enough to alleviate the pain from my ankles and knee joints. Almost a perfect shoe except for the traction and the weight which I feel my feet dragging compared to other shoes.
But going back to Air Jordan 37s, These are my first modern Jordan kicks I intend to play bball with ever since owning a Jordan V in 1990. I tried playing with my J3, J4, J9, J11 (Low) and J13 (Still decent). But the aforementioned retro Jordan's are not advisable to play in since they are no longer built for the court but rather for casual use.
In summary, J37's have a decent ankle support, great traction and awesome weight. So far, I played twice in each of the colour I possess as of this pointe and I feel 10 years younger cause I am able to move freely such as playing defence with my laterals, driving to the basket, going for a fast break and the occasional sudden stops and slides to create mid and long range shots. Yep, I had great games with them and scored in a lot of ways (drive, fast break, mid & long range) which I am not able to do with my other shoes. Most of the time, I am just a catch and shoot fella due to age (46) though.
I LOVE THE 37s !!!!
I've played in the 35/36s once or twice and each time they left my foot feeling destroyed. Something about the setup. No other shoe had left me feeling that way. Any idea how these compare to the Jordan 36?
So this shoe would be great for first step explosiveness? Not sure what insane translates to in playstyle.
Just got the 37s and they’re actually perfect for me! The upper is mid, just does the job fine. But the main reason I love it so much is the cushioning. When moving forward/jumping the formula 23 really helps with the stability, kinda acting like an anchor when u start your gait. Then when u transfer all that stored energy into the forefoot, the zoom units propels u like crazy.
As I want to buy a new basketball shoe....does it forefoot helps in increasing vertical and comfort?

I just bought the Air Jordan 37 PRM. The main thing I look for is CUSHIONING and you say you love the cushioning in this shoe. Thanks for your input. Can't wait to get mine.

the shoes are game focused because players are evolving...that's why there's more tech than the looks to balance the cost....if you are a true hooper you'll value the performance more

Adding Flywire cables there would even be a different level of overkill! 😅😅 And also, does Full-length Formula 23 and forefoot and heel zoom units make much more sense compared to a double-stacked zoom?

Same ordered mine and had two shooting/practice sessions with it already. Only gripe is that I have to lace them down properly, otherwise the heel thing pinches into the side of my ankle. He has a valid point on the forefoot unit sometimes being a little instable when it compresses.
@@k.w5804 I saw a video of someone removing the plastic part in the heel and the formula 23 actually looked soft. Maybe that's the reason why jordan brand had to cage it
@@ramtrx276 oh I was referring to the the “cage” thing inside that wraps around your ankle. Sorry for not knowing the right term for that one lol. Been away from bball for years just coming back and picking it up again. The cage on the formula 23 doesn’t bother me at all and I think I like it better since it’s a little firmer and more responsive.
I got my AJ 37 in March”23 super awesome and loved the first look.
But the Leno weave is kinda dropping colour to pale / yellow. (7-8 months down)

which one is better? 34 vs 35 vs 36 vs 37? i have 35 and 36. i feel 35 is safer for my ankle than 36. just sold gt jump because i dont like it even tho its safer for my ankle
I still use 35s for my ankles though. Premium materials and safety.
For a guy that wants that ankle support and good cushion we're ur feet don't hurt after balling the 37 r the best.i played with them n right now they my favorite because of the ankle support n that cushion is the best.i usually gotta put my own insoles in my ball sneakers because of bad knees I use the move insoles but with these I didn't have to no pain on my knees.these r the best like them better than my gt jump just because the 37 r lighter than the gt jump.the gt jump r good but to heavy

what is the insole material?
I want to hear others opinion on this also. So, I have the AJ 36 low for 10 days and I’ve been practicing in them since, for 3/ 4 hours daily. My opinion is that the cushion is just too much. And because of that, I feel like my foot is sinking in the midsole everytime I’m trying to make a more impactful move. So the energy return is not so good, also, I feel more fatigue after finishing the practice compared to when I wear a shoe with less cushion. So is there anyone out there that can relate to this?
Give them another 2 weeks of break in i had the same issue with the kd14 but it got better.
@@phisticatedJay the way I am feeling is that when I’m running or doing light jumps, the response is really good, the energy return too. But soon as I do a heavier move.. my foot sinks in the midsole and the response its really late..

I’m 6,3 240 the 37 are great big guys. But aesthetically they’re not that great. But I got them for $100 at Dicks sporting goods.
The 37 is deceptively cheap looking/feeling, it technically is worth the $185 price tag (probably more like $165), but you wouldn’t know it unless you take the chance and try it out. I still prefer the 36, compared to all the new Js since the 34s. My ranking is 36 > 34 > 37 > 35

Ima tell you straight up after hooping in then for 3 weeks they are not supportive enough. There was a delay because the material would push out when cutting or moving. Kinda sad tbh.

Only way this shoe could be improved would be heel Air or a full length air strobel. Great shoe otherwise. Go at least half a size bigger.

How was the forefoot cushion compared to GT Run? The zoom setup seems similar.

@@dhankiez only that part is good though. I feel like the midsole was too mushy. So to answer your question even with same tech this feels a bit better. I have both shoes. I am skinny though just incase you are on the bigger side.

@@cooperae1237 Higher shoes = less center of gravity and generally less stable. I don't like shoes with more than 1.25 inches of added height. I feel less explosive and wobbly. Dont knownof thats the case for op. Maybe he just short.

Just got the lows and the sizing is whack. The ride is horrible. Definitely a step down from the 36s . The heel is a clunky mess. I’m just going to Li Ning or Lebron to get some real hoop shoes.
