I think the sound is good considering it's "just" from a phone. Some people try to get all fancy with multiple camera angles, etc, then they fade and zoom and the camera bounces all over the place. I feel I'm watching a video production. But all I want to do is sit in one spot and watch you play. So, in my opinion, just keep doing what you are doing. It's great!

This is the reason why I always watch your vlogs; it is something that I can relate into. Like the struggles of choosing a piano and that weird vibration on the sound board. ^^

You speak right out of my heart! Playing in practice: "Oh I'm enjoying this music so much!" While Recording: "Oh there was a neighbour note.. hmm should I keep playing? Hmm yes lets do... Oh wait that left hand note was way to loud... oh wait lets think about what chord comes next because that will surely help me very much. Oh wait I think that was the wrong bass note... Okay the piece is over wow that was bad" And while listening to the recording I recognize that I completely overreacted. I tend to rather post something with mistakes but with passion, than something without mistakes and without passion. You probably know that Beethoven quote about playing wrong notes. I really much rely on that. Actually I mostly only record 1 Minute snippets for Instagram.. Cant believe how stressful it can be if you record a 20 minute piece... But as I said I think the same as you and btw I didn't notice any wrong notes in your recording. (I have to say that I didn't know the piece before, but I liked it and thats what's important right?) Anyways, very interesting video! Thanks for posting!

The recording process is very physically and emotionally exhausting. For me, it’s always easier to remember that professional recordings are often spliced and never done perfectly in one full take. My best recordings are ones that have wrong notes or even pauses because regardless of one technical mistake, the musicality of the recording is the best that I am able to produce. Your recordings are consistently professional, inspiring, and most importantly, genuine. Thank you for reminding pianists in the community that perfection is overrated :)

Hi Tiffany, keep doing the vlogs! I don't know if is a subject for a video but watching your i started to think about a loss of concentration while playing. Sometimes i start to play and come to my head "woow youy started very good, keep this level!" and after sometime "woow you didn't miss any note!" and turn out i do something wrong cause i'm listening to my mind hahah
I'm a begginer yet (long time of guitar getting started in piano), don't even play long pieces like your's, but i think some tips about concentration, and preparation would be cool.
Thanks for sharing good words and good music!

Your vlog was the first thing we watched during breakfast early this morning and it was fun and exciting watching a day in the life of a pianist. The honesty and transparency come through and express a level of realism that is necessary to inspire beginning musicians of all age ranges and encourage all musicians regardless of expertise to persist, to keep going. Your message when you pointed out the notes exemplifies what really matters in life and not limited to music, and that is to express yourself with heart, with authenticity and to recognize errors not as failures but as as cues to improve and advance forward with greater success and inner fulfillment. You can be a great musician or an extraordinary musician. Being the latter requires integrity, honesty, and humility. That’s the inspiration. Thanks for sharing your Papillon journey!

Musical flow is much more important than playing exactly what's in the score. But I believe that in classical music, doing all the correct notes often is addressed. But as long as the performance sounds great, it's not a big deal, for me at least. I would listen to a piece of music with slight imperfections rather than a perfect studio mix. It becomes more like a live performance which I have come to like more and more. Music in the making as a direct performance.
