So they got their hand grenades taken away... doesn't mean that they can't just load up on more ROCKETS.
When have they ever bothered to use any of their budget for any military expenditure aside from the Spartans? Never that's when. This actually makes a lot of sense from the in-game perspective. They think your average orbital drop strike Trooper is not intelligent enough to understand how to operate a grenade. And they are correct. The odst of ignis understand the concept of pulling the pin and throwing it in three seconds. But they do not understand the concept of throwing it at the enemy instead of into groups of their own soldiers.

Their first mission in the books was against rebel pirates. It doesn't get much more lopsided than that.
@@CrizzyEyes In lore, their first mission was against innies pre augmentation, and they kicked their asses, so yeah, its fair, especially the lengths and lines that the innies have gone to and crossed to deal with spartans

@@KillerOrca I thought they got it after the mission... now tht i think about it.... im not so sure... like part of my mind is like they did it so they test them and see if they were ready for the augmentation, the other says that their was specific dialogue about how they felt after getting the augmentations during the mission
5:41 can we admire how quickly those 2 spartans turned around to fight the tank, they could've hopped in, but they literally 180'ed and didnt even think to run, just stood there, and TOOK on a tank.
Lore-wise they’d be able to run faster than the turret could rotate, flanking the tank and well… the rest is history.

For the Spartans having the job of saving as many UNSC marines as they could their methods are questionable considering that one extract had only 6 people in it from the original 40 man platoon at Bravo-Hold 2 but after reviewing the footage I realized they were too busy having their sanity drained by the common folk of Ignis. i love the fact that ignis got a timeout from their grenades, it's like when a small child gets their toy sword taken away because he smacked his friends with it
Listening to the panic from the skies was like music to my ears.
My headcanon for the ending of this op was that they started shooting each other because they got word that ONI had reviewed Ignis Corp’s history and branded them Insurrectionists, so they figured die to each other rather than be tortured and interrogated by ONI spooks.
