- Praggnanandhaa recently scored his 2nd GM norm at Heraklion in Greece. The boy became world's youngest IM. He surpassed the rating of 2500 before he turned 12 and now he already has two GM norms in the bag. If there is one person who has stood by him through thick and thin is his mother Nagalakshmi.
Nagalakshmi travels with Pragg and Vaishali to all the tournaments around the world. She cooks food for them and prays for them during their rounds. She is by all means a super mom and ChessBase India's Amruta Mokal decided to interview her to let the chess community know more about her! - Hry
Traditional, bold, confident, humble, proud cool mother to gifted children. 😎
Pragg mom is an inspiration to any chess parent. With her affable nature, infinite trust on her kids and the ability to pray constantly, her focus on keeping things simple makes her a mom worthy of emulating...Pragg has become a GM this week and as he takes on further challenges he can go fight on the board peacefully because his dad and mom are fighting out all his off board challenges gracefully. Sure shot Super GM - Congrats!
what a prescient comment. Everything you said is true.
She is a confident mom. The kids should thank this great mom always for their achievements. Beautiful! God bless your family!
Mother is very smart as well, and their simple life style has helped children to succeed.
Both amma and Vaishu are so charming and real. Wish and pray that this family brings us more laurels.
i simply love the mother's smile.i just want my mother to be that much proud...
This interview is injustice to this great Family. She cant even convey/express herself in English.
You should've conducted this Interview in Tamil with a Translator and Subtitles to non-Tamil viewers.
What matters the most is.... The family is an inspiration to us. They are happy and content. A learning value.
You are right.
You are assuming interviewer can speak Tamil
I think her daughter is translating
She doesn't have to speak. It's all in her expression which is priceless.
Praggyanandaa's family is real...the success and recognition that the family is blessed upon has not affected their humility nor the originality of their lives.People like these are not only examples of success inspirations, more so, of 'inspiration to humanity'...undoubtedly, their genuinity is followed by their confidence...& the prosperity 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤗. May God keep this family blessed in divine grace🙏🏽
Humbleness is so profound , yes her continuous prayers keeps her off all worries so beautifully said she knows nothing of the game so no un necessary advice or tension superb interview of a great mother of not one two celebrities in the family .
Cute family , vaishali and praggnananda are pride of Chennai
My mouth was watering profusely as she started listing the south indian delicacies she prepares - Vetha Kozumbu, Sambhar, Rasam, Curd Rice, Vegetables...yummy yummy. I am convinced that its that diet and food that produces prodigies. Its food of the gods..The best. After having lived in the west for over 30 years I have reverted to that exact diet everyday and its the best comfort food. God bless NagalakshmiJi and such wonderful family.
Such a great mother. She gave us the future world champion.
Pragg has now qualified for the Candidates! It is in no small part due to the love and dedication of his mother. Pragg is such a spitting image of his mom 🙂
Love to watch the mother. She's a total inspiration to all. And ofcourse, gifted children to the great parents.
Vaishali never felt shy about her mother though she couldn't speak good , I am not like that at her age. God bless them.
comment true from your heart
The mother's silent support is what matters most, God bless all of you.
Beautiful interview. Came here after Prag became runner up in Fide world knocout today. Very Humble.
Thanks chessbase. Live the way the interview asked questions and made Prag's mom comfortable

@@mountaindove2648😂😂😂
@@mountaindove2648 WAS. We are now being under corrupt rule where only money speaks whether it's in sports or college seats. Tamil nadu has gone down the drain. All our ancestor who fought against invaders both arabs and British . All their work now in vain due to our stupid government politics which is so anti hindu it started destorying temples and looting it wealth.
This family never left their tradition or heritage behind. While many would pose for the fame. They remain grounded wear traditional attire through out the world spreading our culture and respecting it means a lot for bharath.
Wow! I am just in awe of his mum, and the entire family. ❤❤❤🎉🎉

I love Tamil food, and the people - very smart and spiritual people.
Super mom ❤️
Super mum
Tai when will be ur live stream ?
We are researching on how to spend most of our times watching youtube and news channels and web series
❤️
The idea of interviewing the mother was good, but it's ridiculous not to use the daughter as a translator for the mother's replies. Anyway, I enjoyed the interview. Thanks.
I think her halting English and expression conveyed more than a translation could have done.
@@arun-it9gr I guess so. You gave me a good idea -- they should always interview people in languages they are not fluent in. Interview Americans in Hindi, for example. Their halting Hindi would be good for communication.
@@knv9090 the questions were mostly about home life, family, how she feels about achievement etc., Not heavy on factual.
If she is speaking English fluently, then fine. Else let her express as best as she can. I feel that these interviews are a gesture of recognition and appreciation. Later on, she will tap her forehead and say "if only I could have spoken better" and her kids will console her or attempt to teach her English. Either way she will just feel happy.
Translation will give you a good smooth back and forth, but not the same effect.
I wish she had spoken in Tamil, and if you didn't know the language too, you would sure have enjoyed it and would have lost nothing in non translation.
Or she could have just spoken in Tamil and let Chess base put in subtitles.
@@arun-it9gr I appreciate what you are saying. But, in principle, I dislike the idea that if you don't know English, you are 'out of the loop', and have to make do with gestures and expressions, as if you were speech-disabled.
I understand that her motherly image won't be so cute if she is articulate, but it seems patronizing.
@@knv9090 I don't think the interviewer insisted on English. Mother probably chose because the interviewer didn't know Tamil. I somewhat agree that it is a bad habit with Tamils to have English as a backup for every situation.
She is hardly out of the loop. She is the literally the focus of the interview!
And no I am not patronising, I just said that a translation wasn't necessary here. She's mother of two GM s and I don't know how you would patronise such a person without looking like a clown.
❤❤❤
❤️❤️
A forced language makes even an intelligent and shining sun being dwarfed among the clouds. Look how the interview is forcing her an alien language let her speak in tamil and give all of us subtitles.
I agree @PraveshThankur, A reflection of the interviewer/organisation's interviewing skills. I would not have surprised if the interview was done in Spanish, Chinese or Hindi, ha ha.😀😃😄
@@Luxmeimages As a viewer of an interview we would have used this opportunity to understand from the great lady with a very humble background who could be an inspiration for all "Mothers" on how to encourage there child and identify there true potentials. I am a strong believer of "The language of the Land" the way one can express in there mother tongue is unparalleled, one can always take the help of technology to translate and make it available to rest of the world instead of forcing the language to the interviewee and losing all the opportunities of getting knowledge.
Amma🇮🇳
😍😍😍😍
BHARAT MATA KE JAI
I am living next to their house .very simple they are
How does they know Telugu ? We are from Telangana ..so happy to hear that she can speak Telugu ..convey my wishes to both of them

ஏமா எங்கம்மாக்கு தமிழ்தான் தெரியும் .
but why shall he.....
bhia pragu koi berozgar todhi hai log toh chutiye hai sale praggu to nextanand banega he will enjoy his upcoming properuous life
Please conduct the interview in tamil
Interviewer is bakwas
why is it that every time she answered a question she shakes her head side to side.
Dong Nalyac ... because it’s her head so she is entitled to shake side to side, front to back etc
Why are you such a stupid dumbass
Does it even matter? Idiot
You are a brave man asking this question.. she doesn't know the language, and she is chuffed of being the mother of a champ, anxiously wanting to convey her best answer and joy and pride being mother of champ. Indians understand this and get angry at those who don't understand this.
The bolt at our neck is little bit loose...so difficult to keep head straight.
Congratulations but you should grasp the truth of Islam to be more happy and successful here and the everlasting life
You are spamming everywhere this shit. We don't need Islam, we are happy in our religion. Save someone else.
You have and enjoy.
Ha Ha, have you even read Quran, it makes absolutely no sense, it is regressive, misogynistic and barbaric. I actually wonder how can someone read Quran and say it is a great relegion. It is a 7th century cult.
There is no truth in the desert dweller book. Only slave taking and slave trading.😂
