The Swords of Justice just fit into Kalos so well. They would have been protecting Pokémon during the war 3,000 years ago. And being called "Swords" in the region we got Aegislash in, y'know? It's all too good.
Agreed. The only aspect of their lore that fits Unova is their utter distrust of humans, much like N. It's a shame the games never do much with this beyond them guarding the perimeter towards Giant Chasm in B2/W2. It would be awesome to see them fight with Team Flare instead, rising to prevent the Ultimate Weapon from firing again. Sadly, X & Y dropped the ball hard when it came to showcasing the few Legendary Pokémon it had.
Especially considering they were inspired by The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, who was a French author, and the events of the novel happen mostly in France, so having them in Kalos would've been quite coherent, more than having them in Unova.

Well... Unova also had a gruesome war, thats the whole reason kyurem, zekrom and reshiram got separated. As that occured the sword trio protected the pokemon during the war
I think Either HoopsandHiphop or Mr.Buddy mentioned this before in their older videos 4 or 5 years back Toby but their was another reason why Ghetsis's arm was charcoal black it was because N's Darmanitan either used fire blast or flamethrower on ghetisis's arm badly injuring him in the manga book series.Also tony my dude.You forgot that South America Brazil was mentioned way back in the Gen 1 red blue yellow and green days when you go exploring in and on Cinnabar island's Pokemon Mansion .just a friendly FTI love your videos man you always feel like a real life pokemon Professor to me XD peace!

I really dug my first run through of black. It was like a gen one reboot feel. All new Pokémon, new lore and new graphics and mechanics. I think I do like it more than black and white 2 because of the limited dex
Also to note with the porygon dex entry in sumo, sun and moon was released in the 20th anniversary of Pokémon.
Am I the only one that hates the "N is a Zoroark" theory?
I think at most there are a couple moments where Zoroark seems to have transformed into N, but I really don't think N is a disguised Pokémon in general. It's just not possible that he could keep this façade from Ghetsis and Team Plasma for his entire life, and not even Zoroark's illusions could mimic him catching and using one of the legendary dragons.

Actually, important note. In Pokemon Generations 15, the B/W protagonist returns to face fused Kyurem.
Not just the protagonist but Hilbert specifically, It's also notable as I think most of the other protagonists were replaced with other characters. Cynthia being the one to fight Cyrus on Spear Pillar for example.
I wonder if it was originally meant to be a version exclusive thing. In White 2 N and Reshiram save you, and in Black 2 Hilbert and Zekrom do instead.
They were supposed to be looking for each other, so that also fits as alternate dialogue between them being on a wild goose chase.

Hilbert/Hilda didn't travel with N, they were still in Unova long after N had gone. N is in B/W2 because he came back likely after Hilbert/Hilda left to look for him

If you go to the starting town in B2W2 youll get a cutscene or convo where if you talk to your old mom she intially think its her child coming home after disappearing to "find a friend" (which i persume is N) and has been missing for those years.

It’s more likely that ghetsis’s arm was damaged by his hydreigon - it’s underleveled and knows frustration at max power, indicating heavy mistreatment by Ghestsis, and mistreating a dark dragon doesn’t go without consequences. I believe it’s canon that that’s how he lost his eye. Also, along those lines, it’s likely that N’s initial perception of how trainers treat their pokemon is entirely based on how he sees ghestsis treat his pokemon.
I doubt N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) is a Zoroark. The memory could have been experienced by Zoroark from inside a pokeball. But Junichi Masuda himself said N is rumored to have been born from Pokemon (I take this as an in-universe rumor, so the question remains.) Now I am intrigued.
For the record, until today I believed Ghetsis was N's real father, but it turns out he adopted him? WAIT. When I first played years ago, I thought both were true (Ghetsis was N's real father, abandoned him, then came back pretending to foster him). But BW2 confirms N, Anthia, and Concordia were all orphans adopted by Ghetsis.
Fun fact: N's battle theme has the first 8 prime numbers for its first notes if middle C=1

On the note of the protags of BW disappearing, I'm pretty sure Hilbert is actually shown to rescue Nate from Ghetsis and Kyurem in Pokemon Generations. I can't remember if it was simply implied or actually shown. It's been a while since I saw it. Also I'd like to draw attention to Pokemon Adventures. It's not the canon game storylines being told, but it's still really cool

Uh, the manga isn't canon, its basically officially endorsed fan fiction.
Since N was living with Pokemon when he was an orphan, and one of his Pokemon friends was a zorua then zoroark may be mom. So his memory may be of the zoroark that looked after him.

I honestly think that the reason the 3 musketeers are referenced with the swords of justice in a region based on the US is that during the American Revolutionary War, the French aided the colonists in obtaining their freedom and independence from Britain.

Gen 5 doesn't actually have 2 trios, it has a trio and a duo just like gens 3 and 4. The Swords of Justice are a trio that have Keldeo as a fourth member and the kami trio is actually a duo with Landerous being an extra third member.

I have seen a theory that Ghetsis had the original Gen 5 protags assassinated using the Shadow Triad for foiling his plans. As part of his slow descend into the desperate mad man we see him finally become at the end of B2W2. Though it seems a bit of a stretch...but also very intriguing. I’m torn.

That doesn't confirm anything unfortunately. It's very common in Japanese media for people (especially a disrespectful rival guy) to refer to old folks as gramps or gran. It's just a not very respectful way of talking to someone much older than you. It's especially common in shounen anime (Goku calls Master Roshi gramps, or Jii-chan, many times. And everyone knows they aren't related at all with Goku being a space monki) Because as Logan Paul once said "Japan is all about the respeeeeect"

N talking to pokemon isn't really a reason to think he's a pokemon imo. In the manga, Yellow and Giovanni both have the ability to talk to pokemon as well. It's just kind of A Thing sometimes. N looks like a Zoroark because it's one of the pokemon that he grew up with, and he styled his hair like theirs.

In terms of time placement, Sabrina at the PWT will state she had a vision of battling you something like 3 years ago. So, perhaps Black and White take place 1 or 2 years after Gen 4 since B2/W2 take place 2 years after B/W?

Don't forget the other Africa reps in Unova: Blitzle & Zebstrika. I can imagine them acting as lightning rods all across the Savanah, protecting other Pokémon in the ecosystem. Of course I wouldn't be surprised if they lose the Electric-typing altogether with a Regional Variant.
Hear me out, I think Bertha is actually Agatha's sister. Agatha was somewhat in love with Oak when he was the champion of the League. The Nidorino and Gengar that fight in the credits are theirs. I think while Agatha focused so hard on fighting and that's the way she expressed her love for Oak, it didn't go any further because he actually fell in love with Bertha and the two sisters just fought and that's why they don't even talk to each other nowadays. Aparently they're very close in age and the way they look alike, they're most likely sisters. Which would make Bertha, Gary's grandma..

A lesser known thing, a credible leaker at the time of Black and White said there would be 157 new Pokemon and we got 156. They mentioned about a green serpent legendary would be in the games but clearly we didn't but one generation ahead we have Zygarde which seems to fit that description perfectly. Maybe Zygarde was intended for gen 5?

Ghetsis’s hair looks like Shielberts hair from Sword and Shield, and in the opening cut scene of BW he looks like Shielbert, Ghetsis is a descendant of Zamazentas twin hero
Ghetsis was actually after Zekrom and Reshiram first, and both dragons have the ability to scorch things. Then again, that opens a whole can full of continuity issues. But so does him going after Kyurem.

Generation 5 is my favorite! It was the fourth game I played. I was told that the Pokemon Generations videos aren't cannon, but I still liked watching the one with N. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. There were some things in that video I did not know. If you could do a video about everything we know about N (also my favorite character), I would really appreciate it.

N is probably more like Yellow from the manga in terms of his powers, and there may be some hidden power either N has or that Zoroark has that would transfer memories between them (possibly transforming might allow Zoroark to do this). Also, I personally liked having some legendary and mythic diversity in gen 4. The lake pokemon trio are pretty basic in terms of their type, movepool, and abilities all being Levitate. The other pokemon they introduced had more interesting type combinations and moves.

Toby, Sword and Shield have 12 Gym Leaders, and there may be more with the DLC.
Yeah, but Unova still beats Galar by two gym leaders for a total of 14. Unless we get two gym leaders per DLC, Unova’s still on top

Ghetsis's hand got mangled by his Hydreigon. Hydreigon hates Ghetsis due to how harsh and cruel Ghetsis is. There's a few inconsistencies with the actual lore in this video

I absolutely agree with the Africa region, but I’m kind of assuming that game freak has been holding off on that on purpose because in real life the diversity of wildlife is ridiculously large and so they would likely want to add a lot of new species in forms

This video reminded me of a video I’d love to see you make. Superpowers in the Pokémon world. We have children that can see ghosts, ghosts of humans, psychics, people capable of using aura including aura attacks, an immortal, N being able to understand Pokémon’s thoughts and being an empath. I’m sure I’m missing anime and movie stuff too.
If they ever remake Black/White and Black/White 2 I hope they add a battle with Hilbert or Hilda for you to do in Black/White 2
Missed a really obvious one. A leak that said there would be 157 new pokemon, including a green cobra dragon that keeps balance. When the games came out there was 156 new Pokemon, and then Zygarde came in Gen 6
I miss the dream world stuff tbh. I still have a lot of my pokemon from the dream world, and I also still have my zen mode darumaka from the unovan desert (now living in hoenn). It's got hidden abilities babies in galar now.
