I love how Chris Hannibal does this trick. The other one that I love for the Cups and Balls is Paul Gertner.
I loved watching pen and Taylor do this trick with the clear cups really gives you an idea of the skill it takes to do that trick

Wow. Interesting this same trick has been performed in India as well, and street performers still do this. Very fascinating to see how the ancient civilizations transferred different pieces of history.
You are absolutely correct that most of any trick is the presentation. It took me a long time to learn this fact. I've been doing card manipulation since high school, so basically decades. I have tricks that require a very high level of manipulative skill...but my BEST tricks...the ones that people really like, are very, very simple ones...ones I hesitated to perform originally as they were so basic I felt almost embarrassed to do them.'

How do you get the confidence when you perform?
Unfortunately there is no shortcut to gain confidence. Your confidence comes as a result of a lot of practice and performances.

@@Xman-285 you're welcome. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to do good tricks without any difficult sleights that are not comfortably within your skill set.
You don't want to be worrying if the trick is going to work, if you're going to screw up a technique or worrying about what you're going to say.
Worrying, and even thinking is noticed by your spectators and that hurts your performance and your confidence.
Practice tricks you want to perform enough that what you have to do and what you want to say flows out of you because you're on autopilot.
Good luck to you, just remember to have fun when you perform for people. It puts you and them at ease.

Why not learn to perform some of the tricks you've learned so you can share the feeling of magic with other people. You might find that makes you happy again.

Don't think I've watched your stuff before dude. But when you get a quarter in and say he hasn't done any side of hand yet, that's where I realize I probably won't continue watching. He's done ton of shit up into that point. Either you didn't notice it or you didn't want to explain it to whomever you're reacting for.
