Paul Davids, the Bob Ross of guitars. Only thing for him left to say; Let's give this chord a little friend.
Best comment ever
dude I was thinking the same thing
Haha! And adding the "little rascals".. ;)
When we're talking about the Bob Ross of guitar you must surely be referring to Bill... 'Clouds Of Orion'...the absolute ambient music guru. Check him out...
Together with Guthrie Govan
I’ve been using my loop to help put my young one to sleep for years. Usually twice a week, She will lay on the bean bag chair near my jam space and Fall fast asleep while I play for her. She loves it, and I love her. Music is life.
.... and she's only 28.
This is amazing, how old did you start that with her?
I'm only 19, but I look forward to things like that later on
Aww, that's sweet. I've had a child or two do something like that when they were little. Precious memories!
That’s the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a while
It's not just the music, the aesthetic in this video is wonderful. The lighting, shadows, colors - simply beautiful. Thanks Paul.
Even the guitar colore😍
He is the Master of video as well as an unbelievable guitarist and composer, but his greatest skill is as an educator.
It's he pro production companies making such vids
I agree, looping helps get the creative juices flowing when there is nobody else to jam with. It also has become my composing companion and my "band" for live performances
Looping is absolutely a blessing if you might not have anyone around to jam with (like me). It also explores the imagination to make some wonderful compositions. The sky is the limit!
Looping taught me so much about music and playing
@@loganw6156 Same! It can definitely help in playing to riffs and rhythm, trying to form melodies and solos around those riffs to serve the structure and purpose of a song.
That is absolutely beautiful.
Spot on💯👊
I recently heard the loop peadal described as 'the desert island pedal' basically saying it's the only pedal you'd need on a desert island! I have to agree. Since getting my Boss RC-1 my playing and understanding of what notes go together and where has exploded making me such a better player than I ever dreamed I could be. Loopers are, without doubt, the best invention for releasing your creativity as there are literally no boundaries to what you can achieve! Long Live The Looper!
I've watched this video 4 times since last night, just to hear that loop. It's so relaxing and comforting. It's like a nice musical hug.
I love how Paul's definition of "looping" is my definition of making a song lol
Bought a looper back in 2019. Been playing since 2011, never played so much since having my looper, it makes the experience so much more captivating!
I started playing about 15 years ago, no lessons and taught myself the basic open chords, was playing simply those on and off for ages. I decided in 2019 to actually learn how to play (This channel helped a lot) but things were slow to start off with, until I bought a looper. Everything started to make sense with it and the fact you can build layer after layer is, as you say, captivating and gives a sense of real progress
@@Biggsatroid @ANG3LK1LL3R127 what looper did you go for ?
awesome Loop track but I am amazed you have a wall that matches your guitar! 😯
😄
About five years ago, one of your videos was my very first introduction to guitar looping. I bought a simple loop pedal the next day. It made me want to play and experiment more than anything I’d encountered in many years. Five years later, the pedal has been upgraded a few times, and looping is now about half of my set. Thank you Paul.
The longer this video went on, the happier I got, great vibes
I do and will always have the looping collab video in my playlist. So darn good! And Paul, the production and editing in your videos have been so top-notch. Insanely professional and crisp!
You’ve been my favorite guitarist for so long, your tone and style is always just on point, keep it up!
I feel like being on a concert… its just amazing Paul. It’s ALWAYS so much fun to watch your videos. Thank you so much!
Amazing work, Paul!
Thank you 🙏
I'm not quite ready for this course, still working my way through some others.
Wishing you much success!
You express so much pleasure and happiness while you play, so inspiring Paul
That's why I love your courses too
Paul, I'm blown away by Loop School!! You did it again my man! The content, insight, and methodology is so well presented and inspiring.
Really enjoyed this, and I was surprised at how short the loop was. I liked the simplicity of each one and how that allowed many layers.
This is such an insightful video! I've been struggling with creating good-sounding loops such as the one played in this video, but now I have some sense of direction.
Thank you, Paul. You're like the guitar teacher I never had ❤️
This was a spectacular video. The picture quality, the sound quality, the guitar skills! World class 👏
Already started on the course - great inspiration to get you out of manuals and hardware tutorials and into actual playing guitar and looping - brilliant. Many thanks Paul.
Captivating….
You’re so good.
Busy with your entry level course, working towards improving my guitar skills.
Your content is fantastic, keep up the great work Paul
This is incredible, and you make it look like a walk in the park. Loved every bit of this looping, kudos to you!
Can’t wait to dig into this, Paul! Thanks for sharing your talent and knowledge with us!
Your guitar skill is incredible, but your editing skill has become immaculate. You must be proud by this point for your accomplishments. Well done, good sir.
You always make the simplest of melodies sound incredible!! Another fantastic video, I will be trying this tonight 🙌

Beautiful loop tune Paul. Is there a particular order that you should input your looping pattern with...EG...single notes...double stops... triads...full chords... etc?? or can you randomly decide the order for yourself?? Thanks
Love this! Great work on building this course 👏🏾
you're so knowledgeable musician and teacher sir paul!! I really adore your playing sir. God bless sir and more lessons to come.
He makes it look so easy and effortless lol..... it's one thing to be able to play all that.... it's also another to even be able to think of all that without having anything clashing. 😊🎶
Do you think this is take 1?
@@havenlane992 no
@@havenlane992 no, but it's 1 take. still impressive.
@@c_s_b_9_4 agree
@@havenlane992 Recording these loops yes. Creating the piece no. He played around and worked it all out, but the looping is live, and that is a whole other skill set that needs practice to perfect.
OH MY GOD!!😍
You’ve done it again!! I get so motivated by you and your videos, I wanna Learn solos to improvise and chord progressions. And the best thing for me would be a looping pedal and all that, but unfortunately, I can’t afford it, so I have to save up til I get enough money! You’re amazing Paul, love from Sweden!!❤️🔥
PERFECTLY TIMED!!! just ordered my first looper pedal and am very excited to start playing with it.
you have hands down the best guitar related channel, love from Spain!!
I bought the course as soon as it was available. The fact that I will eventually be able to play and perform those incredibly beautiful loops is so motivating.
I had to stop myself multiple times soloing over the final loops at the beginning of each lesson though 😂
After using the course a while, do you think it's worth it?
Every loop added just keeps making me smile bigger and bigger. Such fun to listen to. You inspire me. First I learned your Open D song, and now I am going to experiment more with my looper.

Hi Paul. I have been following you for a while and have seen you do some amazing things but this is just beautiful. Thank you. Also as a beginner guitarist who just recently started to use pedals, including a loop pedal, this has perked me up and given me inspiration. Thank you again
W00t! Been waiting for Loops School for a while, can't wait to dive in. Thanks Paul! Rock on brotha 🤘
Bought this course on the first day! I’m going to take it for a spin this weekend :) so far I’ve liked what I’ve seen.
You always make it look so easy. I'd be tripping over my looper with my guitar cable wrapped around my ankles while my pick flies up and hits me in the eye 🙂.
Take 1 I actually tripped over my cable 🫣
Paul Davids doesn't trip over cables, cables trip over him.
Incredible work, Paul. Good vibes personified.
I loove the setting for this video and the thumbnail is so aesthetic, great vibe, great playing
Loopers are amazing as a beginner it helps me understand music theory so much better, knowing how chords and melody can fit together
Inspiring session Paul! I just signed up for your Loop School. So awesome
Good to hear! Enjoy 💪
This video is amazing, very inspiring for any musician. Thank you, Paul!
absolutely beutiful video which made my day. from the colors, the lighting, and not to even mention that most notable guitar looping. Your videos never cease to amaze me.
Bedankt Mijnheer
You are the “loopiest” teacher I know. Very glad that you are.
I would give anything to have been able to do this when my children were little.
In a short loop, Paul creates a song more beautiful than most of current pop songs... amazing!
Was having a rough day and the sound of this just relaxed me
Perfect! Exactly what I'm looking for. Ready for loop school! Thank you
Bands like El Ten Eleven and Russian Circles really gave me an appreciation for looping. And, I can only assume, the complexity of playing with live looping, since you probably need to be pretty on-point with your timing.
Thanks Internet friend. I had never heard of these bands! Very cool stuff.
@@chadcottle9953 Enjoy!
I tend to use a loop pedal instead of a metronome. It keeps me playing organically and still helps to improve time sense
Thank you Paul, you make the world for us guitar player's so much better!
Greats from Germany
Your videos inspire me to play my best.
Every. Time.
Thank you for that.
Really leaning into the contrasting blues and oranges there Paul. (Not a criticism, just appreciating the design work).
Very…. Dutch?
This comment works on many levels 😂
Color theory!
??? Hi Paul! If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get your guitar strap? It’s hard to see the pattern but it looks like my mom may have designed it, likely to be a tie or belt. My mom worked for two different design studios as a textile designer in the 70’s and early 80’s. She graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and specialized in painting tight hand designs like paisleys, florals, abstract geometric designs, etc. I’d love to see your strap up close.
Anyway, I can’t see every detail, but I’m fairly certain your strap has her design. I’m always able to tell what my mom made from her brushstrokes and reusing pieces of patterns from other designs (and for some designs, I even have the original concept artwork from her portfolio). She didn’t own the rights to her work since she worked for studios (she preferred it that way), but when my family sees something that she made on clothing and home goods, we like to buy and display them if we can afford them because it reminds us of her artistic passion and is a nice way to remember her. While she was alive (she passed away in 2018 at 65 from a rare neuroendocrine cancer), she was thrilled to see her work on a $2500 designer handbag she’d never be able to afford - talk about a complement!
Tomo Fujita has pillows on his couch that my mom likely designed too, but I also couldn’t see the fine details. I don’t think he saw the post where I asked where he got them. I’d love those pillows on my couch.
Anyway, it would be awesome to have a guitar strap with my mom’s design. It would mean a lot to me. I doubt I can even afford it if it’s on one of your guitars, but figured I’d ask you just in case it’s not as expensive as I think (or if someone wants to buy me a nice present lol).
Thanks, Paul!
Thank you for sharing her story. I think in another video he said he has gotten some straps from Epivo. You might find it there
Awesome! This one is indeed from Epivo, maybe reach out to them :) Cheers!
Great video as usual! Keep up the great work Mr. Davids.
Paul I love your videos the content is always Awesome!! You're great 🎸🤘🏻
This sounds very interesting. I have a couple of simple loopers. But recently I purchased the Trio+ Band Creator, with built in looper, so I don't have to lay down the baseline or the drums. I have the Trio+ attached to two different amps. If you know the pedal, you know why. Is the Trio+ Band creator one of the pedals in this course? (I am one of your Patreon subscribers by the way.)
This is apropos. I just picked up my first looper not long ago, and I have been playing around with it and it is really really fun but definitely takes a little bit of thinking about to make a loop that sounds cohesive.
I can't stop listening to this! Absolutely beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. You can see it all over his face how passionate he is with what he is playing. Very very stunning.
I got into looping after getting tired of assembling a band, then dealing with all the drama that followed the other band members. I invested in studio grade equipment, bought a drum set, taught myself to play. Then worked on my vocals. I started writing origins and took to the streets busking 3 nights a week. Nothing more satisfying
Hi! I love what you are doing on your channel. And I learned a lot from your videos.
Thank you!
The name of the instrument that you call Xylophone (Ξύλο - wood
Φωνή - voice) Is changing accordingly to the material that it's bars made of. In your case is metallophone. Also there's another one with bars made of stone - lithophone. Hope you'll read my comment and we will stop from spreading this common mistake!
Thanks for the insight... I called it a 'klokkenspel' but didn't know the English word for this instrument at the moment..
@@PaulDavids lots of scam posts about free course..'text me' using your profile photo..
Superb, Beautiful!! Absolute control, nice and clean sound in every note.
Just what I needed! Happy Easter, Paul!
Just goes to prove how way beyond his time Mike Oldfield was, he was doing this with a tape recorder in the 70's.
Tubular Bells II the GOAT.
A very good point
Les Paul and Mary Ford were doing it in the 50s. czcams.com/video/rITJyZVTfy4/video.html
Paul I absolutely HAVE to know… how long did you spend developing that chord progression and planning where to start amidst all those many parts?
Watching a VH Eruption video while toking weed takes one minute
Once you’ve been playing this long, you don’t need to plan it. Actually, I would say DONT plan your loops. Just start with a tiny random part, and go with it. A loop will not only make you a better player, but you will become so much more creative. The secret is, don’t plan. Just feel.
@@haveaday1812 fair enough. My best music is def unplanned guitar loops. BUT! Paul def already had a grand plan before recording and I just wanna know how lax he was w it before just going for it and recording 😂 Just curiosity

SPEACHLESS...No words! Loved it..man what fun looping can be, very inspiring.
This is actually insane, love loops and listening to all of the layers. What a great song, a bedtime song- sooooo chill :P
That loop sounds so magical 💕💕
Signed up for your new Loop School. Loving it so far!
You make everything seems so easy! It a pleasure to listen to!!
Thanks Paul, for lulling me back to sleep when I'm supposed to be working. Super relaxing!
I had a blast just jamming along with the open D chord and going to Dsus2 and Dsus4! Thanks for letting me play along! :)
I’ve started playing guitar probably a week ago and Paul David’s just bacome my favorite human being.
Thank you Paul 😊

Great job Paul...thank you for your content and hard work....
Just got a looper in my new modeling amp and played around a bit with it, very fun!
What you demonstrate here is absolutely beautiful, makes me wanna hug you :D
