You see how well Robin shines in this song -- I doubt anyone could sing that part and improve upon it. Out of sight!

Beautiful song - wonderful sound and harmony. Stunning retrospective on a career and of the family bond. Prophetic for Barry. I always tear up when I watch this video.
Being twins, you should know it was the fraternal twins, Robin and Maurice, who died too young. If you want to hear UNIQUE listen to some of Robin's lead vocals. Barry and Maurice both admitted they LOVED Robin's voice.
Can't go wrong with the Bee Gees. Every song is great.

In the 70s, the girls went wild over their music.; the guys weren't always thrilled about it.
Love their home movies in the video. They accomplished & experienced so much together. Now, Barry [age 74] has a new album, Greenfields, due to be released in January...duets with a number of country artists & singing, of course, Bee Gee songs.
Robin sounded like a million bucks on this track. I wonder if he should have had more songs where he played a bigger role in the singing. It obviously turned out well for them.
It was Robin (singer), & Maurice (guitarist/pianist) who passed away, sadly the youngest twins. What an incredible duo. Have ALWAYS adored them, it must be difficult for Barry to be on his own now.
Also Andy their younger brother passed away
And very poignant at the end with Barry on his own.
The brothers who passed away are Robin, Maurice & Andy, the youngest, who died earlier on.

Just to confirm as you said " These Guys" in the old video shots that was them in their Home Movies shot by their ambitious Father :)
Maurice with the baseball cap died in 2003 aged 53; his twin, Robin, blonde with black glasses died of cancer in May 2012 aged 62. It may sound old to you guys but it is scarily young when you danced to their music and you are 60+ yourself!
They were born on the Isle of Man but lived in Manchester

BrosReact0151 - I have heard another voice that unique. It's Robin's! Try listening to some of their songs where he leads like "For whom the bell tolls", I Started a Joke" or "Massachusetts". IMO, Robin had the best and most unique voice of the three. He also did some great solo stuff like "Juliet" and "Boys do fall in Love".
Besides it being a beautiful song, the musical arrangement is great.

You need to really watch the video and listen to the music closely. with no distractions. The video contains old home movies from their childhood in Australia and then coming to the England in the 60s to get into the recording industry. The mix of the video really shows their personalities and their closeness as brothers and how they matured through the years as a family. At the end where Barry is singing "I don't want to be alone' and he is standing there by himself because he now alone since his brothers have died. This song and video really speak to me and touches my heart.
I just adore this particular song of the Bee Gees Alone. Barry is the eldest, long hair & tall, the other 2 are Maurice & Robin, who sadly died for different reasons. Also the lovely young Andy passed away too. He was the youngest, so so sad for Barry, the loner.
Keep forgetting this song. Every time my first thougt is going to Heart. I saved it to my playlist now.
