I have a 2012 f150. What do i need to do to upgrade to a Sync 3 display/stereo? That’s the thing i want most and your install looks great!
Have you done this yet? I got the kit off of rockauto and you will have to solder, but I know how to for plumbing so it was easy. The kit has detailed instructions that are very easy to follow and you’re able to get it all for around $350. You may need to buy soldering tools, but your local harbor freight can take care of you for another $30~. It retains or leaves sync with this kit, but it also gives you everything you’d want as far as apple or android car play as well as navigation when using them. If you have sync that kit would allow you to plug the sync usb located in the top of the dash to the car play usb port, then just plug in like normal. You could look at wireless sync or CarPlay, but it’s quite a bit more expansive. I just did this install this week and am super happy with it all. I would recommend this if you are still searching for one.
I had my SYNC ripped out and installed a Kenwood Touch Screen and converted all my ac and heating controls to Digital Touch as well .
I just picked up a 2013 with 194k, I can’t wait to customize it! Definitely going to go with Storm trooper white!

I’m thinking about getting a 2013 f150 with the eco boost it has 101k and is 4x4 but is 16k I don’t know if that’s a good deal?
I have those bars/running boards.. the style at least. I think they look cool but not practical at all… very awkward to use because of where the step is
Upon installing them I missed the step and barely caught myself. You learn real quick to actually look until you get used to them 😆

Man I don't care about looks. I just want a thick, beefy heavy truck. What I keep in mind during my builds is if I get into a wreck or accident, will my truck take the least damage? When two vehicles crash, the bigger/heavier one takes the least damage most of the time, which is why I drive a diesel. If I hit a deer or an elk, will my radiator stay intact? Do I have the clearance for flooded roads? Etc.

I put a K&N filter in my 13 f150 with the 5.0 got 2mpg less than with standard air filter.
You know majority of people replace their filter when it’s dirty, making you think you get more with a k&n. Interesting.

Yes they were. I never had to mess with any wiring on my truck. All plug and play.

Nope, you just utilize the factory one.
How do you color match the bumpers
Mine came paint matched from factory.
How many miles on you eco boost and have you had any problems yet? I am in the market myself

I recently picked up a 2011 5.0 with 80k miles on it been a fantastic find, have done some mods on it myself and loving it!
I got those same tail lights but they lasted me 2 weeks before i woke up to one of them smashed

You can either purchase a whole kit or piece it together. I paid about $660. There is a link in the description for it.

@@f1fiftyjimmyIf you get an Ecoboost...make sure to get an oil separator to prevent "blow by" into the valves. The separator is very inexpensive!

they just plug into the factory harness. Simple plug and play

@@tilowol the knob you turn to the right to turn your lights on, pull that knob out and that should turn your fog lights on.
