I mean theres been times way in the past of her early days where shes broken character and its not exactly this i think its a mix of the 2...but she def is a bit awkward naturally i think instead of trying to cover it up as most of us do she just leans into it and embraces jt lol

I was blown away seeing her concert a couple years ago, her range is amazing and she rocked it and sang live the whole time even going from the roughest scream to the softest melody

This woman is so amazing, she is so criminally underrated and misunderstood but she is such a beautiful human being, inside and out. Truly an idol and just so loving.
I was thinking the other day how much her music/character/self/art/her community has gotten me though....during some of the hardest times of my life, and she's been through some similar things. Truly one of my favourite artists ever, probably will always be.

i love poppy so much and she changed soooo much. Such a strong woman, i don't want to imagine in what horror she went through bc of titanic. She reminds me of me. In each crises you come out stronger.
Zach Sang is the best at talking to Poppy in interviews and the two of them communicate very well and it is always a joy to hear the two along with Dan. Poppy,Zach and Dan you rock!

@@fruit4evr Yeah I'm sure she's still answering the questions with real answers, but like her voice and how soft spoken and mildly robotic she is. She's toned it down since she got away from Titanic and all that, but if you see her in totally out of character interviews it's like an entirely different person
the voice is, but she’s letting her personality and true thoughts/feelings out
it's worth noting that in a lot of those old out of character interviews she's speaking more loudly out of necessity, there's a few where she's more soft spoken and they're not that far off from how she sounds here. i think she plays into the off kilter personality for fun still but the character has mostly dissolved here.
Personally, I don’t see her as “being in character” at all. She answers every question openly and honestly. The only thing that’s still “in character” is her voice, which she probably only does so she can better control herself and not say something she would later regret
I’m so happy after watching this whole interview , I’ve been waiting for this so long , I learnt a lot of interesting facts about her ❤
Watching her talk like that now makes me happier than in any past interview, love her talking like that fluctuating between a down to earth poppy and a poppy poppy, both the guys there also did a really great job figuring out her "dynamics" to make it flow better.

She is the character. Why is it so hard for people to understand?
@@NoName-jy4xwbecause it's not a common thing. Some people play a character too but you can tell more easily when they shift out of it.
What Poppy does is like Paris Hilton's persona. Paris Hilton's persona is based on her, but it's an exaggerated form (baby voice, the vapidness, the party girl, all the pink and sparkles). You can also say that when an artist is embodying a piece of art themselves there's a bit of meta and commentary, it's not like playing a completely fictional character. Nobody wants to truly play somebody they do not relate to or respect. Even if the character is crafted there still is a sense of "them" in it.
