POV: It's 10 years ago and TST is reviewing tuned cars. Never had such a bad case of nostalgia looking at the thumbnail of a new video.
Really great to see the owner riding shotgun like in the before-fore times. I totally get why you stopped for everyone's safety, which was the right thing to do, but I am also glad to see this feature coming back. Even if we gotta have people take a home test before just to be safe, I think it's great that it's back.

@@johnnymartinez478 Just in the US right this very moment, we are averaging around 25,000 infections every day, and 400 deaths each day. That's almost one 9/11 worth of COVID deaths each week. From a virus that is still mutating.
I want things to get back to normal as much as the next person, but we can't just ignore the ongoing threat. Live your life, but take precautions too. Wash your hands. Stay home if you don't feel well. If TST wants to make sure they don't get sick riding in an enclosed space with dozens of people every few days, I support their efforts to protect themselves and others.

Hmmmm... It sounds great! Somewhere between 2jz and M54. I've seen a ton of videos with b58's featured but none have flattered the engine's noises. Stoked to hear this as it finally gives modern swaps an alternative to 2JZ's for i6. They're built in high numbers too across a whole bunch of platforms. Good stuff.

All vehicles are supposed to have suspension components that detach or otherwise deform to absorb impacts instead of getting shoved into the chassis.

The Nurburgring Taxi guys (Misha and Robert) say that the Supra's rear suspension is "Nearly unusable for serious track use due to bump steer and ESC/TC issues". They each have a few vids discussing it.
@3:43 All the control arms are designed by BMW not Toyota, they fit the Z4 as well. I work on BMWs and when I order z4 replacement parts it almost always notes "fits G29 Z4 (2018+) Toyota. A90 Supra (2019+)" And most BMW are designed like that going all the way back to e92 as far as I know.

The exhaust is routed very close to the diff, it has to clear the rear suspension components.

With a better wheel alignment, we have none of the problem whit that on the 4 Supra TA cars in Sweden

I track the 2021 model no bump-steer at all. Even when it was stock it was fine.
the 2jz gte was finalized by german engineering, so in typical supra/toyota fashion, they went to the germans. i dont even like the 2j and i know more about it than most fanboys, simply because i do a thing called reading . not to mention their most famous transmission is german (getrag v160) .
people need to stop the "its not a toyota" "its not a supra" because it literally IS.

@@RCXDerp I do believe Yamaha developed one. Just not sure if it's the 1j, 1jgte, 2j or 2jgte. But Toyota definitely outsourced development of their parts to other companies (which is great).
