I would say carry what you are comfortable carrying. Loaded gun no chambered is better than no gun

You can replace all your black mag followers with red ones, and a Pearce plug for the bottom of the grip hole.

If this is too bog, instead of the 19 where you lose 2 rounds, just get the 45, keep 17 rounds, and lose the 17 length slide.

A excellent video on the new Glock 17 gen5 better than the Glock 19x in coyote color the U.S.Army turned it down if you could find one buy it they are hard to find 💯 👍

You forgot to mention the slightly flared mag well is new on the Gen5.
And I have a Glock 19 x best Glock ever made nothing beats a 19 x they or the cream of the clock
Glock did a number of changes on the internals of the actual gun also in the Gen 5.
