Great job Dane! This is what people who shop at this end of the market want to see; people like them playing the guitars, even if they are just hacking out chords. Gives them a better idea what to expect.
Wow, great video Dane! Having your customers try them and give their opinions is the best format of guitar shootout I've ever seen. I need a Glarry!
Thank you Steve,
Great unbiased “shootout.” One of your best videos by far!
Awesome! Thank you!
Mr Purple suit looks like he has fun 🤘🏽
Awesome video Dane! You have some cool customers! Fun to watch man do more!
More to come!
-great review.. thanks !!!!!!! ☺️👍
The fairest guitar shoot out in history lol 👍
Thanks David
great video..thx
This was great because you had many guitarists and you got many different opinions! When the Host does the review alone you have to sometime wonder if he or she is bias towards one company!
Excellent point 👍
Great Video. Honest appraisal.
I think customers would really like getting to do side-by-side comparisons. It's one of the best things about going into a shop versus buying online.
Great comparison shootout! It appears the good guitar players picked the Glarry for the action , feel, and tone.
Yeah!
That is a cool way to do a shootout, great idea, good job
Good vid 👍
First time seeing your channel, this is cool man. In my opinion, this is the best way to test out/shoot out guitars. I don't see anyone else doing this so thanks Dane!
Excellent presentation
Thanks a lot
The glarry sounds really good
Exceptional comparison by un-biased players.
Excellent video, unique content. Like to see more like this!
Thanks, will do!
Nice fun video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
what a fun shop Kudos from seattle wa
I have the Glarry I love it
Those are both super affordable!
Cool video. 👍
I’m partial towards the firefly.
and that is the best reason to do it! to have fun....
good job...by the players all of them
I have a nice hh Donner that I recently upgraded that is pretty nice.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
@@ZIMMSGUITARS I did, and you didn't make me look like an idiot with those guitars either :)
The Glarry is $120 Dane.
I choose Star Wars shirt guy!!!!!😜😜😜😜🤘
I absolutely love your youtube channel. I hope 2 visit your shop someday. You’re awesome Dane 🎸💟
Please do!
The comical relief starts at 11:33.🤣
Love the fact that so many different people were able to give their opinions. i'm sure both guitars could be upgraded with a set of strings or action adjustments. To each their own. Both might be good for people starting off.
I own 5 glarry guitars. The finishes are great. I have the electronics and tuners and I have a strat
I like the sound of the Glarry GTL Tele-Style Guitar better as well 🤙
I'd pick the Glarry, you can "Bill Kirchen" mod the switchplate, which is how I setup my Tele.
I just boughta Glarry and I can't even play a guitar, a long curve ahead I think. Good video by the way!
I have that Glarry in blue. It's gorgeous, sounds fine and plays great for a $100 guitar. Mine has quite the beefy neck. I can only imagine the Firefly beck being bigger? I think the Firefly is more money but not really sure. I'm happy with my Glarry.
I think it would've been validated more if you put a set up on both. The glarry sounds like the strings needed to be adjusted.
I know a guy named Larry, he's kinda hairy and scary, and he plays a Glarry on his merry ferry, and he will conceal and carry his Glarry, until he drinks a glass o' dairy on the way to marry his gal Shari in January with his best man Barry who is getting wary and may tarry.
I watched this and the shoot out with firefly and Donner.. and I have a Donner on order 😆 seems like a great guitar for the price point also what an amazing idea for you to have customers play them .. that I 10000% better than a sales video thanks for this ✌🌎🙏
I have both of those, but in different colors. The Firefly has much better build quality. It could be mine was built on a Monday, because I also have a Glarry bass and it's very nice.
The Glarry I saw had frets sharp enough to cut your fingers and an action so high it was unplayable.
Is that Glarry ever in tune in the entire video?
I did pick that one and after a ton of work it sounds good and plays well. Was totally unplayable out of the box. A TON of work! But it was a labore of love because it was a tribute guitar I put together for my late lead singer rhythm player. It is no longer a Glarry. Its a Todd Tellie!
Did a build based on a glared thin line
Liked the light weight and with a GOOD set up
And squire pickups it’s good and still cost affordable
How hard would it be to tune up the Glarry Telecaster? Otherwise, a good format that I would definitely watch again.
fk yaaa man
Great to see some relative beginner guitarists for once trying out guitars. Either guitar is going to be a great starter guitar from the looks of it.
I feel like everyone picked the firefly just because the finish and all the best players liked the glarry more
Firefly is the best deal.
Good seeing random people playing. Next time maybe put same set of strings on both guitars.
Decidedly unfair result. The Firefly lacked a good setup, according to the verbal comments. Some of those guys only chose the Glarry for its action.
Hello, this is the most unbiased well done guitar video, I think I have ever seen. Allowing customers to compare the two guitars solely on the individual products merits both likes and dislikes per individual customer. 👍
I liked the Glarry overall sound better, and I understand about gloss finish necks, I sanded my acoustic guitar neck, and applied satin sealer. Results made the guitar easier to play with far less palm drag.
I use lefty guitar because I'm missing 2 fingers of left hand. I'm not the best picker, but I enjoy the instrument.
Do stock the tele style lefty glarr?
Anyway thanks for your video, very well done. 73 Earnest K5EWM.
I choose the Glary...based on the opinions of those folks. I care WAY more about the feel/action/setup of a cheap guitar than the sound. Looks mean almost nothing to me...within reason. I can "fix" the sound much easier than a crappy neck/neck fit/nut cut/buzzy bridge, etc. Odds are any guitar under $1000 is getting a new set of pickups and pots in my house anyway.
Plus, the Glary costs ~$30-40 less delivered from Amazon, than it cost me just to ship a guitar (~$120) to a buddy of mine.
I have a glarry tele semi hollow body with f hole and maple fretboard .I love it after a few minor adjustments and string changes . The stock strings played well but had a nasty metallic smudging on the fretboard . I paid nearly as much for the case as the guitar . All good .👍🇺🇸
Is it weird that my attention was drawn more to the amber OLP guitar hanging in the background. If I had to pick any of these (and I already own the Firefly in a different color), The OLP is the one I would pick.
Or maybe it's a Sterling. Can't tell for suire. Either way though, that's the one I would get if I didn't live a third of the country away from this store and could go in and get it.
I'm kinda shocked that they can sell guitars like that for $100 bucks. My 16 year old custom Carruthers Telecaster cost literally 50 times what that Glarry costs. Of course mine is made from the absolute highest quality materials, plays flawlessly and is far superior tonewise, but It's still pretty amazing what they're putting out these days for a measly $100 dollars. I mean, for the price of just my one Telecaster I could probably decorate the walls throughout my entire house with those things. Hell, I could even leave one hanging in the bathroom just in case I get an idea for a song while I'm trying to squeeze one out 😆.
Neither one I would buy
With out watching the vid ill bet the glarry wins this one.
What I learned is that nobody knows how to play. I couldn't be in that store more than 5 minutes.
wait, what you sell these crappers in a retail store ? You're going to lose your accounts!
I always go directly to the cheap shit first 😂 then the expensive good stuff and waste their time deliberately after they diss me for showing interest in the crappers.
