    One of the best videos I've seen so far, thanks. I'm going to Costco for hearing aides. They have Jabra Pro 20 and Phillips 9040, which one would you recommend? They are both around $1500.

    Excellent review, I love that you are very neutral about giving your feedback vs preferring one brand over the other with the intention to only sale those you have. Can you please do a video for the Signia Pure Charge & Go 7-IX with Telecoil, and another for the Rexton Bicore L-20?

    I tried all three brands at Costco and the Philips 9040 where the only aids I could understand speech, so I bought those. I also bought the TV adapter which works great and the audio clip so I can connect to my laptop or desktop via bluetooth.

    I'm going to Costco next week for hearing aides. They have the Phillips 9040, Jabra pro 20 and Rexton. Which would you recommend for overall performance in general? My big problem like most people is hearing in noisy environments and after reading Consumer Reports on hearing aides they say that none of the hearing aides tested were very good in noisy environments. Would love your feedback on this. Thanks.

      Jabra 300 has the very latest technology, Costco don’t carry the Jabra 300, although this guy came out from the back and told me a lie. He stated the Jabra w0 or 40 had the latest technology. So I contacted Jabra by phone, they told me the Jabra 300 was much more superior than the Jabra 20&40.

    I am testing the Jabra Enhance Select 300 right now. The size and fit are good, and I can hear better with them in. What I can't find anywhere is how to adjust the specific frequencies for my hearing loss. I have two Motorola Android phones, one has a hearing aid option and will connect to the Jabra but not the Jabra app, cannot use the hearing aids with phone. The older phone connects to the app and hearing aids but no phone support. If you have Android, you may want to keep looking.

    IS THE Jabra Select 300 the same as the Jabra Pro 20? If no, what are the differences and which one ranks higher?

    Numerous reports say that wearing prescription hearing aid can prevent dementia.
    Doctor: Do you think these OTC hearing aids (including the Airpod Pro 2) are also able to prevent dementia?

    Ok to me - they ALL sucked. The Orca maybe was close to sounding ok - almost ok. I would rather just have my normal reduced hearing than have to listen to any of those all day. With all the amazing sounding audio IEM's out there its astounding to me that nobody can make a good sounding hearing aid.

    Thanks for the info. I recently purchased a set of Signia Active pro but being new, moderate hearing loss in mid range, I have nothing to compare to. I thought the ear bud style would give decent streaming as I use airpods for work and listening to music. However even with the audiologists tweaks it sounds like the cheapest "airline" headphones when streaming. Awful. I have tow questions. What have you found to be the best for streaming? Can you put in your airpods as well as the over ear aids? thx

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  Před měsícem

      Good questions. The audio quality of music streaming compared to AirPods is a tough one. I have not found any hearing aids that get the same bass sounds. Even an earbud style like Active Pro still has lots of venting which makes audio coming in very leaky. That’s good for natural world sound but not so good for streaming. I use my hearing aids for podcasts or quick things but if I’m really listening to music or a long session with podcasts I take out my hearing aids and wear my AirPods with my audiogram out in. Wish I had a better answer here but I’m not sure a knockout headphone and natural hearing aid combo are out there at the moment

    Yeah..no..none of those regardless of your "test w/ KEMARS DISABLED LITTLE BROTHER" should be on that "list" of yours..most of the buyers of these return them (Costco's insane return rate of Jabra's -ie.) Signia is awesome (I have 7x RIC's for my tinnitus therapy,) but Widex is my favorite HA for all around use..Entertainment is key in my life and whether it be Music or TV..my Moments make it clear and concise..

    Wired Magazine review of Sennheiser was that it is hard to fit and they said it make little to no difference in hearing.

      Ok... I have just purchased the Sennheiser one week ago, and I would give them a phenomenal review. Perhaps hearing aids are very specific to a person's particular loss? I find they fit me perfectly, and are working better for my moderate loss than the Lexi hearing aids I have been wearing for a while. I also saw the negative review and was very surprised by it!

    After purchasing a otc-hearing aid, who do I contact to have it matched to my audiogram? Because without this it is wortthless.

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  Před 8 měsíci +2

      OTC hearing aids are programmed using a smartphone app so typically you won’t work with a professional to match your audiogram. Instead you will tune the hearing aids yourself using an app and onboard hearing test. Definitely not for everyone but it works well for some.

    • @meric12131415
      @meric12131415 Před 8 měsíci +1

      You contact no one because OTC hearing aids are made for the user to program but depending on what type you purchase they also have audiologists on staff along with tech support when you make that ever so important call

    How do you feel about Costco Rexton aids vs Phonak aids?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  Před 8 měsíci

      Rexton and Phonak are both great! Rexton is very similar to Signia and Phonak uses a similar chip set to Sennheiser. Definitely well respected products.

      Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Awesome channel.
      I tried the Signia product at HearUSA. The audiologist wound up telling me the Signia and Costco Rexton were very comparable. The Signia product was 5k. The Rexton 1.6k. Whew. No brainer choosing the Rexton's.
      What I am wondering is if Phonac's best offering would help me hear better than the Rexton's? Could you please offer your opinion?
      THANKS!

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  Před 8 měsíci

      @@joeringelstein2303 the two hearing aids are very similar technologically. It's possible that HearUSA will offer more service but you likely won't see a big difference in the tech since Rexton is equivalent to top-tier Signia products.
