When i was little i went to my beloved grandma to see her. As a curious little girl i was looking her glasses and porcelain plates inside a fine looking furniture. I was so amazed by them. They were so beautiful!!
When i expressed my admiration about them to my grandma; she said that she have them from her wedding but she waits for a special occasion to use them because they are so expensive and beautiful.
When i went home i told my mom what happened. She said my grandma has never use her porcelain plates and glasses. Because she waits that special moment to use them. My grandma is 86 and still waits that special moment.
I leant that moment to never wait to use something because is "too special". Nice and special things are to enjoy them everyday. I adore my grandma; she deserves to eat to that plates every single day.

When you were describing putting things off for a few days, I do the exact same thing it's so difficult sometimes! I do it because I feel like it needs to be the 'right', perfect moment for it otherwise I've 'wasted' it. Like if I'm not having a perfect day and I want a nice bath or something I'll feel like I'll waste the bath on me not being in a good enough mood and not being able to be in the moment 'properly'. Which part of me knows is silly because it's good things that turn a day around and make it better but oh well! You're doing brilliant by the way!

My weight is always haunting me with the fear of the number going up. Then I will feel very shameful and even more confused. I tend to be at war with myself over portion sizes as well. Lots of anxiety , but try to manage. I think you are doing a great job and you totally got this! Try not to think about your weight focus on recovery. I struggled with an ED all through my teens. I was obsessed with but also terrified of the scale. It was a way for me to make sure I wasn’t gaining weight but also terrified I would see that number go up. So I can sympathize with how ur feeling. I biggest thing for ME was to get rid of my scale (I’m in my 40s) and I haven’t owned one since. I want to share that it is possible to recover but it is, just like mental health, a struggle sometimes to fight the voices but its ok. U got this Fi! I believe in you! Hugs from 🇨🇦

I also can't explain why it is so intense the day before, but it's true - I tend to plan everything to be perfect and exactly the same as before last weighing. I wish us both to get rid of it as soon as possible. And for now - just keep fighting, you're very strong. xx

this is a quote I really love and I hope it brings you some hope because you are amazing and I believe in you:
“One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson
about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between
    two "wolves" inside us all.
    One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies,
    false pride, superiority, and ego.
    The other is Good.
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute
    and then asked his grandfather:
    "Which wolf wins?"
    The old Cherokee simply replied,
    "The one you feed.”
    ― Cherokee Metaphor

I’ve actually been this way all of my life.. but I went from 4th-11th grade with everyone saying I was fat. I started being purging after school, I went back and forth with that and starving myself. I have a beautiful daughter and I exercised a lot when I was pregnant with her. Then I lost my second child at 2 months pregnant because I did the same thing. My 3rd pregnancy I let myself go and started Back at everything after I gave birth. Today I’m 56 and still struggle. It’s not something that just goes away, it’s something that you have to realize that your life is worth the fight, and fight every day.❤️🙏🏻

Can you do a weigh day and have them not tell you the number? You focus on feeling strong and healthy without a number attached, and they track the numbers and tell you if you are ontrack or not (no number atrached)?

  • @lauratracysteinbach782

Anorexia is an addiction to not eating. All addictions are actually a symptom of other issues. Anxiety from fear of failure, of not being able to control things that you haven’t been willing to accept and found coping strategies to deal with, is what is making you focus on controlling what you eat, which you have perfected. You have to be willing to face your fears and create a strategy for moving forward regarding whatever it is you are trying to avoid. Perhaps your fears are around being independent and leading an adult life? So, instead of focusing on your real issues, you are focusing on your controlling your body and what and how much you eat. If you don’t start focusing on your real issues you will continue to struggle. You are human, so imperfect. It’s fine to try things and fail. Every day is a new beginning! One day at a time! Sometimes it’s one moment at a time! If you are willing to focus your thoughts on what your fears are and devise strategies to handle them, for sure you’ll get better! You can do this! Life can be amazingly wonderful when you stop punishing yourself for being imperfect! Bless you!

Do they allow you to be weighed without being told the number? Can be they give you a thumbs up if you are on goal? I know when I was struggling I found it was easier to not know the number. We perfectionists do this to ourselves because we need control over fear. Eventually you will be able to accept that you do not to be perfect. Here for you and your journey. Hugs
