- Great Wolf Lodge Bloomington is a giant, family-friendly resort just down the street from the Mall of America. This wilderness themed property features fun amenities, but none more notable than the 75,000 square foot indoor water park. This water park features multiple levels of slides and a lazy river integrated into several different attractions.

Hi, my name is Elijah. I’m 13 years old, and I absolutely love this place!!!! I’ve been here sooooooo many times!!! Even before they changed it to great wolf lodge
Nice!
Great wolf lodge LOVES their indoor water parks!
They sure do!
Extensive review of the water park, thank you!!! I like to be able to give my toddler a heads up on what we’re doing and this was the perfect preview for our visit.
You're welcome!
I love it here. When I was there it was so fun! I’m going there again in 3 months. I recommend going here!
Me too.
I absolutely love Lilo and Stitch in Excelsior! I just youtubed my Great Wolf Lodge in 2018 at 8:00am on January 30!
Nice!
Great Review. Yup, you can say that this Great Wolf Lodge isn't as elaborate as the others in the chain due to it's second hand history, but you can't beat the relative value it offers. My family took quite a few weekday vacations there from Winnipeg where the hotel room paid for itself with the value of park passes for 6 people!
We were pleased how cheap we could get a room.
I've never done any of these indoor waterparks (with one modest exception), and I don't really plan on doing any in the future, but it's interesting to see the reports on them. During cold months, a reasonably priced hotel with an indoor pool and hot tub is good enough for me. I do love outdoor waterparks. The one at Valleyfair was nice. I didn't spend much time in there, but I still got on a lot of their body & regular tube slides, as lines were very reasonable, far shorter than the coasters' lines in the afternoon.
I like indoor water parks when they offer hours beyond the nearby theme parks or I can get a good deal on the rooms.
Minnesota does get very cold it’s was very smart to add a indoor water park in this state
True!
We just stayed there. They slides were really fast. Great lazy river. The Flow rider was cool. The bowling alley was really fun. My grandkids did the rock climbing and the ropes course. The spinning log on the ropes course made it challenging. The breakfast was top notch. Overall very expensive but very fun.
It's very fun.
That’s why it’s a once a year or once every few years 😂 I live in Canada and have never been here.
Thank you for this great review! I went to this waterpark all the time as a kid but wanted to see if it was what i remembered now that I'm teenager and since great wolf lodge owns it now, and this video was very helpful!
You're welcome!
It IS very unique and has a niche' market. I'm sure, they will step UP their game to compete. Indoor parks are an interesting "breed" of parks. So many have bitten the dust. The industry has really changed. Look at the "turnstiles" No rotating arms. I saw this system @ IAAPA Expo years ago. I remember when we had to "manually" flip it when we "style jumpers" or, we'd make the rider go back the proper way. We did a LOT for that $3.35 per hour. LOL! If you explained "Y" it was important to be counted, it sort of made sense to the delinquent. Great overview of GWM.
Thanks!
I just love Frozen! I just love Antz! I love Bear in the Big Blue House on Disney Plus!
Nice!
You can use the water park starting at 1 on check-in day. There are towels you can use there.
Nice!
I'm planning a stay at this hotel next year!
Nice!
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
When you talk pricing, keep in mind it changes substantially depending how many guests come with you. We are going soon and compared 2 quantities of guests. Adding 2 extra guests cost an extra 100.00 for the room for one night. One good thing about the cost of Great Wolf Lodge is you get access to it all day long BOTH days even if you only stay for one night.
Those are good points.
I heard that Mall Of America is getting a waterpark in the next few years, but the project has been in development hell.
I've heard.
I presume that young lady I have seen in a few videos now is your fiance?
The reason I say that is because the way you smile uncontrollably, and even giggle around her, is clearly so natural that she obviously makes you very happy.
I wish you a very long, fruitful, healthy and happy life together :)
Yes she is and thank you!
Do you plan on visiting Tikibad? It would be cool to see your comprehensive review of that place.
I do not have plans to visit Duinrell the next time I'm in Europe.
I love this place but I miss the old water park of America
Only experienced it in its current form.
Just booked Sunday July 24 - Tuesday July 26th for me, my wife, and my just turned 5 today daughter. Looking forward to it!
Maybe I missed it but what is the towel situation?
I've also seen that you can get into the waterpark at 1pm day of checkin (well before checkin time)?
You can use the water park starting at 1 on check-in day. There are towels you can use there.
I wanna go to the waterpark at 1 and have 3 hours of fun!

Any info on the 3 different passes? (Pup, paw, wolf pass)
I don't, sorry!
3 feet of Lazy River is 3 milliliters on nail polish in Maple Grove!
Huh?
The reason they’re painted two different colors is because they were painted all blue but then the paint kinda faded to green😂 but gwl really did a lot of work to this park like renovating the top otter run slide adding lights and sound to river canyon run and even changing the tube slides exit from a runout to a full pool
Oh I thought that was intentional haha.
yes its a very nice place in generl and im going then agien this year for my b-day
Enjoy!
As a local, this one's definitely more for the kids.
I found the slides fun even as an adult.
@@CanobieCoaster they were lame in my opinion.. To each their own!
hello! i´m planning to go and work in the hotel in winter, do u know if many people go in winter? thank you
I assume it stays busy yearround since it's near the mall.
Been to the indoor park at Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) Mall, but was warned to not go in the water by a lifelong resident there due to constant closures of...bacteria-laden water due to the humidity in the place. Have you heard about this with other parks? My experience was 2009, so maybe things have...cleaned up a bit since then.
I loved the World Waterpark when I went a few years ago.
@@CanobieCoaster It's visually stunning too. Galaxyland was the reason we went (and got a painful backward ride on Mindbender - but worth every second). Thx for the ❤ and comment. You and your newly met buddy Chris are the top 2 coaster tubers imo. Keep up the great work and travels!
"Have you heard about this with other parks?" Yes, kind of. Look into abandoned indoor water parks and your will find stories of death an injuries due to waterborne pathogens.
If for some odd reason you find yourself in traverse city michigain. There’s a great wolf lodge they only have 3 adult slides. 5 total and none are any good from what I remember. It’s been like 5 years but I have a good memory. The pancake restaurant across the street was better than the resort
Good to know, thanks!
I wish the upper level otter run went down all the way to the bottom that would be one of the most intense indoor waterslides with how tall and fast it goes
Same!
I have never been there but I will soon I’ll edit this with all the stuff like some pros and cons
It's worth checking out.
I’m a huge. Lazy river fan but I absolutely hate wave pools so whenever we were on the lazy river we would get out. Before the waves came
That's fair.
Ok I have some not so good things that happened to us during our stay we got a nice sized room a really nice TV but the channels were mixed up soooo much but they did have CZcams and there was also mysterious charges on our credits and we got charged.$300 for a package that costed $200 but I have to admit it was a very very fun stay
Sorry you were overcharged.
I was here!!!
Nice!
@@CanobieCoaster THX
ive been to that water patk like 95 times
Nice!
A $70 day pass is a crazy price.
They want to keep crowds low enough for hotel guests.
Looks solid but damn 50 dollars a day for a waterpark :O
Unheard of in Europe
Cool you can film there
Great Wolf Lodge has lax Go Pro policies compared to most places.
That’s normal price 😂😂
@@nakitah443 Damn hahaha here in Belgium we complain if a waterpark charges more than 20€ lol xd
@@upsidedown_ That is a normal price here in the US, but there are usually discounts to be had. Typically only chumps pay "full price" for any theme/water park.
But with Great wolf lodge, it's also about crowd control for the hotel guests.
I personally prefer the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells over this one but it should be noted I've only been to that one and this one.
By the way I've never seen them close the waterslides for a safety break at all so that could be something new however the time you mentioned them occurring in this video is usually around the time I've had lunch there so maybe they have and I've never noticed.🤔
It’s because of staffing.
I'm sure it was staffing.
The one in the dells needs a refurbish though. It's looking a bit dated now. Was just there this weekend.
Oh my gosh, I just youtubed my waterpark at 5 in June! I downloaded at 4 on Sunday!
Nice!
What does that even mean?
Do they have real wolf 🐺???
No
Not intentionally.
Not a huge water park fan so I'd rather visit Mall of America, not much else to say.
That's fair.
