    Couldn't stop thinking on how well this video was made so I paused halfway to comment. You've some seriously insightful points and critical thinking skills above us masses. I'm sure we all appreciate how you considered this issue from so many view points, to even mentioning a few situations and considerations the designers at Honda has. This is not hearsay, speculation or just brushing it aside like others. Last but most importantly, you presented your ideas so well despite this train of thought being this complex, and the video editing is the cherry on top. Love the appropriateness of the clips chosen and I love the speedy riding shots, the rest are too pussy to do a review without actually reviewing it. Thanks a ton man..

    Competitors make their peak power using premium fuel. I’d prefer cheaper standard fuel that’s always available, no matter where you ride

    I really hate when people say things they know nothing about and state it like it is fact coming from someone they dont know. I am an american i own both a DR650 and a super tenere 1200. I know they are not a new motorcycle and for that matter i have never heard or seen anybody here claim they are new or even updated in the least. If you have an opinion state it as so.

    Thanks for the video! Nice job presenting the many important aspects. One aspect I have always appreciated in Hondas is the reliability. It is a peace of mind to know your bike will last long and not present high maintenance costs (and surprises).

    a very good Video! I really like the technical backside but most channels only show how it sounds, looks and feels. Also i love your comparisons to get the bikes in order, where they are placed!

    wery nice review, the atas really get to much crappy reviews from people unexperienced on the atas.. the 2024 atas is the best Africa Twin so far.. no doubt.

    Was considering the ATAS24 coming from a Tracer 9gt+ ... not an adventure bike but if you ever come across one I'd love to hear your opinions on it. cheers!!

      I love Tracer 9, but in the cheaper versions. The GT+ Pro Max is getting too close to GSX-S1000GX, S1000XR, Versys 1000, etc.
      The best part of the Tracer 9 - it's funny. Most touring bikes around 1000cc too big to fun - weight, geometry, etc.
      Cons of the Tracer 9 is scary low ground clearance, and even the GT-suspension is great on spanish twisties, but I wouldn't take it to asian badlands.

    They just need to bring back hydraulic valve lifters, otherwise the valve check is too frequent and too expensive.

    Bro there are youtubers doing 130 on dirt with the Africa Twin what the fuck are you talking about? Suspension? I'd say it's skill issue.

    19 inch front wheel looks awkward to me. My 22 manual with eera is wonderful for my camping trips.

    Todo perfecto gracias, pero lo del asiento 350 kms y no aguanto. Tengo que hacer algo y efectivamente la cúpula debe ser más alta y ancha. Salu2 Pako

    I really like your reviews for a number of reasons. They usually leave me wanting to own the motorcycle you just tested to find out if it makes me feel the same as it did to you, while at no point my sensors tell me that you want to sell that bike to me. Does that make sense?

    Can someone please explain what the purpose of a quick-shifter on a motorcycle that is built to spend a lot of its life off-road?
    To me it seems as out-of-place as putting a gigantic rear wing on a lifted 4X4.
    Is it just so AT owners can play "sportbike" on the streets, or what?

    • @adv-moto
      @adv-moto  Před měsícem +6

      First, the ATAS is not a motorcycle that spend lots of its life off-road - that's a myth.
      Secondly, the quickshifter used on some hardenduros. For example, in a loose hill, a quickshifter will allow you to instantly shift gear without losing traction.
      Thirdly, not a word about quickshifter in the video.

      lets face it, that thing is to heavy to ride it really hard. Its for trails and most of them use it only on the road. Its a comfort feature and you don't have to use the qs. A QS can work like a semi automatic

  • @michsky46
    @michsky46 Před 28 dny

    21 inch that was real africa twin , you talking non senses here. was not only ground clearance as well on road bit higher is better view.
    19" wheel is exactly the reason to don't buy ATAS.

    Great video and review. You are going to kill yourself riding that fast and not leaving room for the « what if »… Very bad example to not follow, sorry.
