Ok...I worked for red robin for 6 years as a server,cocktail waitress,and bartender. We got paid minimum wage+tips. I dunno how some of the other restaurants got away with paying less than minimum wage. I still LOVE red robin food. They have the best turkey burger and vegan burger. 🤤🤤
Apparently they're permanently cutting 55 items from the menu to focus on best-sellers and getting food to the customer while it's still hot. Probably a good move.
I just had Red Robin last night and honestly everything was pretty amazing. More than likely bc the restaurant was opened in 2017. But man oh man the Banzai burger has never tasted better

I’ll be honest I enjoy eating at Red Robin but - as with a number of other U.S. chain restaurants such as The Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory, which I also enjoy - I increasingly find their food to be bland, almost tasteless. The funny thing is, I definitely am not even a fan of overly-spicy (especially hot-spicy) food at all. Looks-wise their offerings are fine; unfortunately, though, it’s just soooo bland. Again, I’m finding this more and more with many if not most American chain eateries. For that reason I’m leaning towards focusing on eating at home or else at traditional Mom & Pop restaurants where, hopefully, the food hasn’t been neutered to the point of removing all flavor. Does anyone else think the food at American chain restaurants is getting blander and blander?

I don't know why the burger patties go on the grill straight in this video. This isn't how they do it. The burgers first go through a pink or no-pink roller called a Nieco before ever getting placed on the grill to make sure it's cooked correctly.

I find the burgers dull and overpriced for what you get. The fries are o.k. but mostly because nowhere serves steak fry types around here. The restaurants around here are dirty and poorly managed. The last two times I've been in them, over a few years time, they were understaffed, noisy, with dirty tables left for service overturn several times. It's a shame because they have a niche, but they're poorly run.
Imagine saying the burgers are dull the burgers are built to look like a smiley face with all the toppings you can get a burger with pineapple on it even one with avocado

Red Robin burgers taste like the frozen patties you get at the local Walmart, heated in the microwave, and topped with whatever they can throw on it to distract you from the cheap taste of the meat. And I stand by the fact that every single store I've been in is dirty. Been in the business a LONG time and when you go into the bathroom to wash your hands and realize that their better off dirty because the bathroom is filthy, what does that say about the kitchens?

Their burgers aren’t necessarily bad, but they try too hard to be creative with their menu. If you are a burger purist, and like Five Guys, In n Out, or Burger Fi, you will probably be disappointed by the vibe at Red Robin.
Another problem with getting too creative with the burgers, is you have ingredients that need to prepped at different stations and not just the burger station. The more positions in the kitchen that have to coordinate to make a single menu item, the more chances of things slowing down, orders being mixed up, or something getting delayed because a single ingredient wasn't ready in time.
I have eaten there three times over 15 years at three different locations and each time my burger came out way overcooked and dry and the fries barely warm. The last time I tried them was about five years ago. I know what the cooks are doing to my burger and any one that has worked in a restaurant and is properly trained would never do. That is, after placing the meat patty in the grill the cook will press the patty down with a spatula and then flip it and press it down again. To speed things up the cook will often place a weight on the patty. What all of this does is squeeze out a lot of the juices that makes the patty more tasteful and juicy. Its not the way one should treat a meat patty!
I believe it!! I have really liked Red Robin since about 2002, and USED to find eating at a Red Robin a consistently enjoyable experience, all over the country. However, I'm sorry to report that between around 2014 and 2020, I began finding the experience to be consistently bad, to the point that I haven't been back to one since 2020, not wanting to roll the dice on yet another disappointing experience, and given all that has happened since 2020, I doubt things haven turned around yet. I would probably even say that for the majority of the past 20 years, Red Robin was my favorite restaurant, but, wow, it has gone downhill!! I hope they get everything worked out!! 🍔 🍔 🍔
