SO CLOSE to Shohei Ohtani that I could TOUCH HIM! (Fenway Park bullpen)

- How did I get this close? Did I need to buy a special ticket? HAHA!! No. Shohei Ohtani was the starting pitcher, so the only thing I did was head over to the bullpen early and then wait for the legend.
Yes, it really was THAT easy, but here's a pro tip: if you want to get close to the visiting teams' pitchers at Fenway, don't hang out in the walkway behind the bullpen because the ushers will make you move. Instead you should claim a spot in the actual seats along the side fence, and you'll be in the perfect spot to watch these guys up close.
Mike Trout, unfortunately, did not play in this game, but it hardly mattered for the Los Angels Angels. They dominated the Boston Red Sox thanks in large part to Shohei who had a brilliant pitching performance (seven innings, no runs, 11 strikeouts).

Crazy you got so close to him! That footage in the bullpen where it's as if you were right behind him as he was pitching was amazing! The perspective from behind the dugout made this an even cooler video.

This is so beautifully shot, and of our generation's Babe Ruth! Gives me chills. I wonder how the players feel being that close to the fans in these outfield bullpens. Seems too close for comfort to me, if I was pitching, but maybe that's why they are Major Leaguers and I'm not. ;-)

I watched a shohei pre game bullpen practice at Comerica park and it was fun to watch it was the same game that Zack caught a toss up from Ohtani when Zack used his Japanese speaking to get the baseball.

I was a click away from spending 160 on a pair of tickets to see Ohtanis first Fenway start but I'm glad I didn't bc I would have bought them for Tuesday where he delayed his pitching start at Fenway.
