Yeah i doubt they will have respect for the classic roblox and then they will try to sell us crap, like limited items but red that are promoted as prizes. I have more hopes for the event being messed rather than a good event, specially with what they said in their tweet regarding feedback that seems pretty wrong.

god no, guests were a terrible addition. it was good that they were gone, why? welp, put it simply they are a free even-more-anonymous ticket to roblox. no tracking. no account. you could go and play condos or exploit without any repercusions, plus it costs you 30 seconds to make a roblox account. do you think roblox just thought "hey people are liking this account propotype feature, let's ruin the fun!" of course not, they went "jesus fucking christ they are everywhere exploiting and f###### and we got no method of identifying them!!"
There’s no fucking way in HELL they are gonna execute this well. Roblox has been so damn out of touch with the community they’re gonna put the shittiest things in the event. If they manage to not fuck this up it’ll be more than a pleasant surprise, it would be a genuinely groundbreaking act.

r6 animation packs would break most old games probably... maybe just r6 emotes that you have to turn on in your game manually.

as a user joining in 2016 and transitioning from elementary to high school, i'm excited for this event, but keeping on standby my emergency grain of salt. sure i wasn't existant during the GOLDEN age of roblox, but i was there before roblox went down in flames (mostly), and sometimes you just don't wanna be looking at black and white all day, you missed the actual color of the website and when games were fun.
it's pretty soothing to see the event being retrofied, with the usage of studs and classic models. however, i feel the leaked screenshot may not have show ALL the portals, possibly not as much as the hunt did (yass queen i love playing 100 games!), but not like 10-20 either

Considering Roblox's lack of attention to the woes of their community, them actually having the idea to make a 'classic roblox' event is... surprising. I'd say that I'd hope they would release a modernized version of one of the old Roblox clients (considering the style/theming of this event, maybe a 2008-2010 one?), but that's a bit out of their scope.
From the leaks alone we can't really say for sure what the event will end up being like, so I'd say wait until they actually release it, then we can judge it for what it is.

It would be so cool if they went all out and either made new Brickbattle maps, or got some of the big classic themed Roblox games to do events, like RetroStudio, SFOTH IV, Doomspire Brickbattle, Super Nostalgia Zone, etc. This is Roblox's chance to finally make amends with their older fanbase, and I really hope they knock it out of the park.

what they SHOULD do is not make it a dev hunt and make those portals in the hub lead to some fun little minigames that are classic themed. And possibly (but this is a massive stretch) changing the entire sites theme to what it looked like around 2015ish because of how iconic it is

Seems like Roblox is pumping out a lot of events to experiment and bond with the community, so I'm kind of excited for these upcoming months!
I played the Roblox classic game tweeted out by Builderman and it seems to have a couple of admins playing on it including the Chief Product Officer, maybe that means something?

you act like the hunt first edition didnt have a free track or something, they arent forcing you to give them money. its just optional purchases. they realized that they have alot wealthier of a community now so they are providing things to them over a paywall so that they feel valuable and keep playing the game. its a greedy practice, but who cares? theres some things that are still free. the spring flower crown was pretty cool looking.

Great to know, something i hated about the hunt is that the hole theme of the hunt (First edition) was being futuristic, yet no Dev's made the games missions according to the theme, i hope the Dev's actually do old Roblox theme to actually match the new hunt with the classic theme.
I'd say that'd be likely especially with the fact that some really like to cash in on this nostalgia not just Roblox corp. I mean have you seen all those horror nostalgia games?

I hope they get a good variety, but not too overloading amount of games. Hated how the Hunt had multiple copy games that were clearly made so they can gain money from wasting your time.
Portals to other games would be cool, especially if the events in said games actually followed a theme unlike most of the games in the Hunt

The owner got a message to participate in "roblox developer challenge 2024", and the "Elected Admin" does NOT have classic design

just do know that, teh lack of portals is probably because they dont have time to put more portals and decide which game, get permission by messaging and stuff.

about the hunt prize ui thing, you can see on the top "exclusive avatar items" and the bottom it says "event hub items" so i think that the top are the items you get for your roblox avatar and the bottom are the items given to you in the hub and only the hub. idk just a guess

Thanks to that, the community, has become very pessimistic but can you even blame them at all with the horrible updates they've gone through especially the infamous audio update? And roblox corp has shown a lack of care through backlash and community feedback.

in all seriousness, it would be cool seeing skibidi toilet gremlins experiencing the past of roblox, like aang learning about the past avatars or something. though some kids might be aware of their surroundings and actually might be more happy than we are, since some kids admire the past even though they never experienced it, hence all the "i miss the olden days" little guys. It also explains why i said the thing i said in the very beginning of this comment.
Oh and to point out. ever since the hunt, this might be Roblox's second step in finally getting touch within the community.

the fact that it looks like another dev hunt really hurts me, like it's cool that they're acknowledging their past, but at the same time it's a slap in the face to old events

Older roblox games like Natural Disaster Survival and Work at a Pizza Place would maybe be featured?

by the way, the blue R logo is a form of really old currency on roblox i’m not sure if it came around the same time tix came out, or if it was older but i dont know what it did and how to get it, im pretty sure it was just stuff you can get from playing games and doing tasks on roblox such as playing 10 different games they got removed because token farming which is people using bots or alts to farm them, i still do not know what they do
