Roblox needs to hire real humans to moderate our avatars. We don't want them to, we *need* them to. Even if this works, it's abusable. This should only be capable of taking down bad items, such as items that clearly exist to make your avatar look naked, swear clothes, or items clearly designed to fetishize your avatar. What if it's used to harass players for being furries (yes that includes characters that arent furries but are easily mistaken for them such as nekos), LGBT, following religions you don't follow (if any), or just for fun? What if it's misused to report people for wearing items that you can't tell if they're used in a bad way or not, such as bikinis, anime characters, or other stuff? Why is the Roblox community so toxic and the Roblox moderation system so lackluster in terms of humanity that we have to worry about the worst? What is Roblox Corporation thinking?

"antifurs/ruben sim fans" is simply wrong. while many ruben sim fans are against furries, not all are, and thus cannot be used as a synonym to the term antifurs. that is not to say that furries didnt have it coming.
As a guy that watches Ruben and follows him on x/twitter, he only hates the kind of furries that make it their whole personality and the ones that sexualize animals. I mean furries in general are weird ass ppl, that’s why they have that reputation that they have yk. It perfectly makes sense.

This is a two edge blade, it can be very usefull with the real bad avatars, and on the other side healthy avatars can be massed reported for no reason resulting on a unfair ban, we just have to wait and see how well and bad this goes on time.
Or the blade itself might just be rusty, because Roblox's moderation, as always, uses bots to moderate the website.

I heard about this when the update came out and have reported and banned degenerates.
Also note that when I did it the players got banned in 1 minute (tested) though sometimes its 3 minutes. Extremely fast compare to reporting an exploiter.

1. lack of clarity, what does roblox consider to be "offensive"? dunno
2. abuse, as some have pointed out, this could possibly be abused by people with bad intentions
3. nuances, some avatars may be offensive when viewed in isolation or a specific way, would roblox even consider potential nuances?
4. A.I, there's a decent chance that roblox will just use image recognition to determine if an avatar is bad or not

As a furry (don't worry I'm one of the harmless ones), I have a bad feeling about this. I already limit which games I use my furry avatar in because of the large amounts of haters, and now I'm gonna have to limit my use of it even more because this update is bound to be abused. While this is a good update, its flaws are guaranteed to be abused when kids decide to mass-report innocent avatars. Now, if there were repercussions for mass false reporting, I wouldn't have to worry. However, Roblox hasn't thought of putting such actions in place yet at the time of this comment's creation.
My point behind all this?
Kids shouldn't be on the internet because they will exploit measures that are supposed to protect them and use those measures for their own personal gain.
if children were banned from the internet, your community would have a better reputation... maybe. but as a hater myself, a word of advice; watch yourself.
There were some debates saying that perhaps the internet and social medias in general should be 15+.

This feature is definitely going to be used to mass report SFW furry avatars and probably avatars that just have cats ears or somethin
If someone gets falsely reported by wearing an inappropriate morph or avatar unwillingly or unitentionally, the best way I could imagine to say in an appeal is explain your inventory does not have those accessories and explain why you're wearing the clothes in the game.

Yeah, while I don't like furries very much myself, I'm not anti-furry, and I would not use the feature to report furries. Even if I were anti-furry, I still wouldn't be toxic enough to do that.

At least NSFW furry avatars are purged, but these “sigma” kids will leave NSFW non-furry avatars alone. Worst case scenario we live in a tyranny of the toxic “sigma” community where whatever they declare to be “virgin” is dead, even if it’s something innocent like the default one.

If reporting didn’t do anything with the first 2 reporting systems, nothing’s gonna change with this one.
On the report it says they will look into it, the best way to get them to do something is to use their own words against them and instead of saying that they are lazy, say that they moderated it and deemed it okay.
I'll give it 10 minutes before people start abusing this...

Roblox moderation is still scuffed, but I'm happy about this update as long as it is not in itself scuffed because progress is still progress.
Also, report abuse has always been a thing (R.I.P. CowCow) so I don't think that's really an issue, it's here to stay with or without this. I think the other stuff GLC123 mentioned here are the more worrisome points.
Do they not realize that you can join a server with a inappropriate avatar then change it back on the website, thus making it so said bad avatar is still in the game and when you get reported you can easily just write it off as "i was wearing a different avatar!!"

I DSA reported someone a week ago for using 3d clothing to create layered absurd size chest, and it has been deemed as not rule breaking.

If the moderators will actually take time to look at the avatars getting reported, I doubt that many innocent things will get taken down. Still, looking at the previous updates we can't have too high expectations.
My only worry is this is the advanced security measure they were talking about when they released public ugc
Let’s be honest with this update, unless they stop cheaping out and use ACTUAL people to moderate the games, there ain’t gonna be crap done about this
This update really worries me to be honest. Someone has threatened to rape me over roblox and not gotten banned, but I’ve been banned for saying “sweaty poop”
I also know that people are 99% of the time going to target female presenting avatars. I don’t think curvy avatars are inappropriate, it’s just a body. It’s only when it’s used in a sexual content that I have an issue with.

As someone who wears historical avatars (19th century stuff are my favourite), especially historical military, I have a feeling in going to get banned for this, knowing how bad moderation is they're going to think I'm larping as a nazi
good idea but im unsure of how effective it will be as chat reporting is notorious for not doing much, and theres always the opportunity for abuse

This is a great thing but knowing Roblox’s poor moderation skills, this feature could easily be abused to harass players. I hope this extends to certain games such as catalogue creator or booth games. They are teeming with bypassed or inappropriate innuendo avatars.
I do wonder if Roblox mods will be able to tell the difference between memes and unironic sexualized outfits, such as gigachad and ‘Bara’ (sexually appealing male bodies) avatars. Will copyrighted outfits also be bannable? Will all the Monkey D Luffy’s and Gokus out there be banned?
As if these reports would work, even now that we have options to report avatars they probably wouldn’t bat an eye just like image reporting or user reporting.

this is either going to get abused a lot, or having it reports being completely ignored by roblox, either way i doubt it will actually do something unless roblox will somewhat corrects it right.
When I saw this update I got so excited because now I don't need to be European or use a VPN to fill out a form
