Little bit of a shame that Harvard was sent to landfill - it uses the same Musashino mechanism as the original Commodore PET cassette drive, and while I wouldn't exactly say they're in high demand, I could have done with one of these a couple of years back!
I do still have it in my e-waste container. I think the screws for the case are missing. If you want it and are okay covering the cost of postage, then I'll send it to you.
@@CBitsTech Thankyou very much for the kind offer however I ended up butchering a radio cassette recorder I found on ebay (and paid waaaaay too much for!) that also had the same mech, and unfortunately ended up selling the PET as I couldn't justify keeping it when you can get upwards of a grand for the early ones and I needed the money... I make do with a recreation now. But thanks for the thought! It might be worth keeping it in case another PET owner sees this post in future (unlikely I know, but still). I've subscribed BTW 😁

@@CBitsTech Harvard was (and still is) an importer of Hong Kong stuff, and they actually became Alba (owner of Bush) for a long time. I think they're back to their original name now.
It's a very neat little machine, I just wish more of them had stereo heads.
Yes, stereo would have been better, but I think, back on those days, we didn't have lightweight stereo headphones.
