I think Mr Techmoan recommended getting a minidisc player that takes AA batteries if you can. I’ve just managed to source a pristine Sony unit on EBay that takes AA batteries and that is now going to be my daily driver MD player.
He did. I have plenty of players so can choose AA or gumstick types, depending on my mood. I just need a way to ensure I have charged gumsticks always available.
There is no need to pull the plug to change settings. Use the slot button to select position 1 to 4. A 5th press and all slots start to blink for simultaneous operation.
Panasonic "low battery" is an indication that the internal battery circuits in the player are failing. this is a very common problem with panasonic minidisc players. also panasonics dont monitor the digital signal when youre recording music making them useless to me.
Can you charge the battery inside the minidisc player?..the reason i ask is because the Chinese made gumstick charger currently on Amazon has dreadful reviews.
@@robison5396 Yes, I just checked with my R900, it does charge the battery, and you don't need a dock, just the 3V centre positive charger. Press the Stop/Charge button to begin charging. Enjoy!
New video right before I was about to buy some.😊😊
I hope it helps.
amazing test, thanks!

Often, yes. Some players require a dock/cradle to charge, though. Which player do you have?
@@CBitsTech I don't have it yet, I'm picking it up on Saturday..its a Sony MZ R900
