if theres no single people how can help reach others truly!? couples are to rapped up in there own lives a lot of the time to conduct "helpful help" for others, i look for love in intellect because i can expand and progress at that and be helpful to others rather than thinking of that one individual in an emotional way as emotions are key to weakness and many failures like we see across the globe.
This video clip is so profound and powerful.... it hurts my heart every time I see it. More than 20 years and this song and video still touch me...that really makes it a masterpiece for me.
The heart you mean? Definitely! Our generation understands this well with Japan being most relatable on this, and the UK. Besides if all social media advices and condescending are anything that creates stoicism of apathy, its society we have. Maybe it's a good reason but there is alot of love in this world yet barriers of so much keeps forming borders. This large heart in a city or in a system that reminds us that we are human even if we sink into the system, people feel something. I'm not talking about films or its arguments of relationship. Becouse we can take that and point that as the other or somewhat generalisation to advice with borders, but in real life people dont want to get hurt or judge too quick without realising that theres just people. People dont know what other people feel inside or even consider how people are, its contexlised by an agenda. The heart would be so meaningful in a museum to remind us. In the 2000s as a kid, or playing kingdom hearts. What of live? What of friendship? What of meeting people? 2000s kids enjoyed themselfs with games and films, technology, not in the circomstances of the younger then (the 20s) generation back then trying to get by finding themselfs. This video has such a deep meaning! This is the process of many people through life. They start life with a big heart and with time people and bad experiences in general makes their heart getting smaller. People in general see a big heart as weakness and get scared because they know they can get hurt if they show their heart to others. If you have a big heart be proud of it and don't be afraid to show it, you never know what you may be missing by not showing it to othersl!!
It's a great video. The fact that her heart does not get small again even after the guy doesn't have a relationship with her, and is scared off by her big heart, shows that even small acts of kindness can restore a person's hope in themselves and help their heart to grow.
This is one of the best videos ever shot. It's very deep and meaningful. The girl's heart is not the real problem, but the fact she desperately wants to show how big her heart is to everyone. Never do that. Don't waste yourself and your life chasing people and their love or acceptance. Know how and when and especially to whom you wanna show your true self and you'll find your happiness.
I see your point, but I have another interpretation of the video. She is not desperate at all. She truly believes that all people are exactly like her - openminded, curious and full of life. After a while she gets confused when everyone she meets tells her to go away. Her heart then begins to shrink. She loses faith in humanity. But her heart is elastic ( like in Sias “Elastic heart”). So the true meaning would be that no other person can ever put her down for a long while. Her heart will endure unfairness and it will always grow back to its original size - No matter what.
Powerful is irony, how good people with big hearts are treated very poorly today. But after this guy gave her chance, she got new hope to stay truthfull to herself. Sometimes, even a little thing can give you hope.
People are scared of big hearts, with a big heart comes big passion, big dreams, big hopes…see how the world reduces the size of your heart, your passion, your hopes and dreams, its sad but true…until one day your heart breaks or just stops, it stops caring, searching, seeing, feeling or just beating…along with the mind and the soul our hearts are the most important object we need to be human…we use it for love, compassion, choices, drive and passion and for life itself…we need to see the world with our heart not just through our eyes…your eyes are like the window looking out and looking in…your heart is looking through those windows for all it needs to feed its passion, passion is the seed of creation, creation is the key to life, life is the one and only thing we truly have…grow, watch, expand, and let your heart beat with passion for all to see, with hope that others see your love and passion as a fire of hope shining brightly for those who need a little help from time to time….
+twist65 i layed all this in one person, and she betrayed it when i was in a hospital :D and i still gave her another chance to fix things and she even made things worse.....ofc for her im the bad guy just like her ex's haha. But i still thank her because i see the world more clear than water now while she doesnt.A girl that calls u soulmate and true love and replaces you when your in a hospital is very nice though.
That is so true man, time after time people get hurt and then the only way they can cope is to not care but love is the driving force behind everything good and there are so many amazing people out there, I think its about searching in the right places, always have people and things (non material) in your life that you love and you will have the fight in you get hit down. I think depression kicks in when people lose all hope and forget what it's like to be themselves and feel excite about the things they love.
Every few years I return to this piece. I always forget the artist, so I have to google the music video with the girl carrying the big heart. It really captures something fundamental about the human condition.
New York were never designed for your heart. It is just not the right place. But, certainly, that video is not only about showing your love to people. That video has so many levels…
Oh man. I was cruising around in my car this morning, the sun was shining, and this song came on the radio. I was in another world for a second. So much memories. ❤
I havent seen this video for perhaps the past 17 years of my life. I'm 26 now and I shazam'd this tune yesterday after hearing it in my uber as a vague memory of the video got prompted. Watching this after so many years has truly struck a chord in my heart man, this really effected me as its only now that I am of age that I can truly comprehend the profound meaning behind this. It's re-ignited my inspiration to love because thats essentially what weve all been put here for and its this loop of a lack of love which this video conveys so well which we must overcome. God bless you all were all in this together, alone
21 years... thats how long i've been searching for this song. i started to believe it was just my imagination... the video is even better when you are older. Time flies, make the best of it. Enjoy the moment, enjoy the people... one day we'll be gone and i don't think we'll get another chance....👼
same here! just found it now.. i remember when it came out in 2001 when i was in italy for holidays. i saw the video in the hotel lobby waiting for everyone to get dinner. & you are right - enjoy life, there is only one chance..
haha same here, I'm only 18 but I was losing memory of this song and thought it must've been a dream or something. Then one day I decided to rewatch top gear from the start and this song I think was in the into and I instantly had to shazam it.
I remember this as a kid. It really hit me hard. It taught me to always treat people with love and kindness. And also that there are people with big hearts that have a lot of love to give, and they should be accepted for that.
I was 29 when this came out, me and my husband loved this track and the video, he passed away in January and everytime I hear it it makes we weep. His heart was too big for this world...I love and miss him dearly x ❤️

THANK YOU LORD. I have been looking for this songs FOR YEARS! The thing with my brain is that I remember just tiny bits of chorus's tune but I have no idea who the composer or the name of songs. It was a faint memory from my teen years so I've forgotten most of the songs. I'd searched the 90's and 2k's techno list but not one of them come close to this. I swear I told myself to never ever forget the tiny bit of the song and the keep memorizing it whenever I can. THAT IS UNTIL TODAY I accidentally clicked on the 90's hits online radio and this song played. I grabbed my phone so fast, clicked on the IDSong app and placed it over the laptop. The App found the song and I immediately came here to listen to it!! Lord I have waited for this song, this moment. I am so happy it's crazy. No dance songs in the radio right now that can be as good as the 90's and 2k's dance songs. It's the song that really touches you that will ever be amazing. THANK YOU RogerSanchezVEVO for this song

This is the problem of today... We do not have understanding and heart for others. I love this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amen Bro
+twist65 exactly
I think depression kicks in when people lose all hope and forget what it's like to be themselves and feel excite about the things they love.
i feel you!. absolutly true!
As a child I never understood the video but now as an adult I see the true meaning behind it and it's hitting me right in the feels, damn
Mena_W a mi me daba mucha pena!! tendria 11 años..

Same here!
Same here.. now it made sense after almost 17 yrs it came out!
Twenty years later and I still think they look like brother and sister. Anyone else?
In any case, great video and great acting ❤
Every few years I return to this piece. I always forget the artist, so I have to google the music video with the girl carrying the big heart. It really captures something fundamental about the human condition.
2020 anyone... This track still goes hard... 🙂❤️🙂
it sure does.
Yep !!! I'm here Jan 2020 to this classic track, how can we not forget this gem. 😎❤😎❤
back here in 2020...
Best music video ever made
yes listening on valentine's day with myself :)
*They Say* “you don’t find this song, it finds you…”
New York were never designed for your heart.
The older I am, the more I cry
21 years... thats how long i've been searching for this song. i started to believe it was just my imagination... the video is even better when you are older.
Seguiré tu recomendación.... Viviré más la vida , antes de que se me termine...
i took to me 1 month to find that song before 20 years... but i am still here
The Real Art is out of time. Eternity
At this time nobody has known OLED-TV, but so much people had their first experience with a burn- in, an visual and accoustical🎶
I remember this as a kid. It really hit me hard. It taught me to always treat people with love and kindness. And also that there are people with big hearts that have a lot of love to give, and they should be accepted for that.
"Do you need help?"
"Who doesn't"
timothy chan she's got a big heart, doesn't her?
those old videos have better stories than nowdays..
One of the last of an era.
Weird that think that 2001 is old now.
AAAMEEEEEEENNNNNNNN !!! ! !!!
not at all. Just look.
2024...still a masterpiece. ❤
This video aged really well, I can't believe it's nearly 18 years old.
Time flies - it’s damn painful

Masterpiece. It's all of us.
Reminds me of my dating days with my now wife.
I was 29 when this came out, me and my husband loved this track and the video, he passed away in January and everytime I hear it it makes we weep. His heart was too big for this world...I love and miss him dearly x ❤️
😔😔😔
Sending you ❤️❤️❤️ because that’s what he left you.
My mother passed away in October and her heart was way to big for this world too…..so sorry for your loss….it’s so deep the pain it’s unreal….I’m feeling it too….❣️

One of the saddest video clips 😢.
What a masterpiece!
I was 19, I remember listening to it mostly on my way back home from a night out, I miss those days so much.
Its very, very sad. This girl..😢😢😢
This clip has a whole different meaning for me now than it had back in my adolescence days. If only I knew then what I know now, perhaps life would be less solitary.

Geez, that girl is me. Perhaps she is all of us. How sad is this video. Love to all

How come this absolute classic doesnt reach 1M+ views?!?!
+gadget00 We know where the true beauty lies.. The rest will understand one day.
+gadget00 far far too little skin showing.
Because it's not a classic it's a remix of "I won't hold you back"- toto, and the original is so much better
+hans hansen my heart is broken, didn't know it.
+gadget00 I have no idea. the one of the greatest ever!
The deepest music video I've seen in my entire life. We are scared shitless to fall in love and become vulnerable.
Anya S ufff...yup
See video of Oasis - Stand By Me. You'd never regret
But is the only thing that makes us truly grow
I’ve watched this so many times and cried. This video is how I feel. Most of my life. Couldn’t show it better if I tried.
This is just such a timeless track and story. I come back every once in a while to listen and to feel good! Having a big heart is a beautiful part of life if you find people to share it with and let it grow
"Hello, do you need help?" - "Who doesn't?"
says so much with so few words
Right! The special moment with his act but she is the one to want LOVE for real
AAAMEEENNNNNNN !!! ! !!!
One of the greatest house tunes of all time
I agree
The one who does not listen loses a lot, the one who listens has already lost a lot.
I can’t describe the feelings this song brings back to me, I can’t put it into words. It’s an energy. 💙
"Is that your *heart* ? Its big!"
"It's _small_ now, It was bigger before"
"Scary"
"That's my problem"
So *heartbreaking* ..and the truth is, as life goes on, sadly our hearts do become smaller... this video left a deep iMpact on me... so sad and real! 😓😭
But I'll *never* stop believing ♥️♥️♥️
2020 anyone here with me???
P.s.
Thank you for the likes, and to all the beautiful people in the comments, I'm with you!! Never stop believing in ❤❤❤
Stay safe everyone!🙏
People have no appreciation when you open yourself to them...
But those that don't appreciate deserve what comes after them. Certain actions have certain consequences.
Watched this on VH1 just now and I had to watch it again -with a different view than when it first came out when I didn't really pay much attention to it. It leaves me heartbroken now 😢
Thats Life..
Human society ,If you search love ..,You wrong..
Take care of animals ,they are better than us..,
You'll find true love .
Saw it as a teenager, and I still can relate to it... This is a beautiful, yet heartbreaking video. And It always makes me emotional...

the pain of someone promising love and then suddenly vanishing from your life is immeasurable.

Sums up the whole vibe of the early 2000's❤. Everyone today is all stubborn.
I watched this video clip accidentaly before many years and still remember the strong relieving emotion I felt. Just before some days I broke up in my 40's and still hearing this song. Keep your big heart away from those who don't appreciate it . Big love from Greece.
Yes! The version with the speech on! About f**kin time!!! Love this version of the video!!!!!

The ever growing hysteria of a generation whose tedium is their foremost concern.
I am here too
I love this song, and the video clip. It never goes out of style, since I met her in 2001. The story that talks about not everyone accepting that you have a very big heart, a reality.
Amazing year, was a highlight of my life.
Homelands festival, Gods Kitchen's 4th Birthday, rock gigs and being out about 4 nights a week 😂
It happens, your best shot is writing those bits on google and dig deep. I've found many songs that way.
+Mana Fujiwara You're Japanese?
Aww :)
+Mana Fujiwara Interesting story ! I have loved this tune since it came out in 2001 great you can enjoy it now too !
+Mana Fujiwara I KNOW RIGHT CANT BELIEVE I FOUND IT MYSELF!!.. I USED TO BE IN LOVE WID DAT GIRL..
No smartphones no intrution of technology no meaningless lifes clubs had that classy music that made you feel like a king. Music that made you feel loved. Gone are those days far far away.
Hey m8 I had a mobile back then, when this song was a hit. We used them mostly for short calls so we could find each other in the city. I was a teen. :/
Yeah exactly that’s all they were used for mostly. To meet up! And play snake when waiting for a bus lol
The drugs were good aswell
Johnny_McNeil ...but it wasn’t controlling your life
how about the time before mobile phones existed, if you arrived late and your friends had moved on elsewhere, you might not have found them
Classic house track. Will stand the test of time. Sheer brilliance.
SOBBING 😭😭 But she's still happy in the end and I love that for her 🥹🥹🥹❤❤❤❤❤
Nostalgia is one of the best and worst feelings 😥
for real
The sad truth
in portuguese we have a name for this... SAUDADE
This video often makes me cry. My heart used to be a lot bigger then is is now. Still waiting for the real girl to make it big again.
I think when it's so big, it's scary for others. Now, I understand 🥲
"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold," (Jesus in Matthew 24:12)
But god invented wickedness and sin, and cancer and rape why is god so evil?
I realised as a child I am hugely like this girl. I used to weep looking at this video. Fast forward to current times, I often send this video to guys I'm seeing just to see their reactions. Tells me a lot if they find it cringe or they ignore the point of it totally. Needless to say I am still single.
I was 16 when this came out and a imigrant in England with my father, left England in 2003 and this Song takes me right back to England, 23 years gone just like that.😮

24 years later still a amazing and great tunnel. Life it's unpredictable it's a circle of life that for us it's difficult to understand. What we want.
So true of society sadly. Great metaphor.
It's why I watch this video time and again. Great observation my friend. Sometimes I don't know what keeps me from suicide. That's how bad I feel. Thank you for your true comment.
